I have a pretty bad phobia of anything to do with eyes and yesterday I had the first of 2 glaucoma surgeries at Bexhill Eye Hospital. I've been very impressed by all the staff involved, everyone was very friendly and reassuring. All areas are clean, everyone is professional and helpful. It wasn't nearly as bad as I imagined it would be and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hospital, especially to anybody who's feeling a bit nervous.

The Trust works hard to provide all patients with a high standard of care in what has been and continues to be challenging times, and so we are delighted to read this was your experience. It is completely understandable that any procedure involving the eyes can be an exceptionally worrying and upsetting time, and so we are assured to read that staff were professional, helpful and friendly as this would have been a great source of comfort for you. We are also pleased to read you found all areas clean - extremely important from a health, safety and infection control perspective and what you should expect from any clinical setting.
