Review titled Great experience
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 05 November 2024
I arrived at the minor injuries unit at 4.40pm after I had been bitten by a cat. I had a very swollen and painful finger. The receptionist quickly and happily spoke to me and got me checked in. By 5.10 I was greeted by a lovely doctor (such a shame I can’t name him! I’d love to thank him personally). Who was so lovely, jolly and helpful. He cleaned my very painful wounds etc. he was happy, helpful and a joy to be treated by. I was out of minor injuries by 5.30, had my antibiotics by 5.45 and was home again by 6. Amazing service. I wish these units could be open later and on weekends. Such an important service that needs more funding! Thank you!

Review titled Excellent help, advice and patient care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Mike1880 - Posted on 28 August 2024
I am writing to acknowledge and thank you for the excellent care I received in the Minor Injury Department in Bognor Hospital yesterday morning (Tuesday 27th Aug) From the efficient check in, initial meeting and assessment through to the discussion and agreed action, I was so well looked after and wanted to express my thanks. After my X ray (another excellent and speedy experience) it was good news and some helpful advice on the swiftest recovery. Many thanks to all who looked after me. We are extremely lucky to have this facility in our local area.

Review titled Uncomfortable experience
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Came here for a gynaecological ultrasound and some members of staff were quite rude, standoffish and overall not very friendly. As it was my first ultrasound, no one made an effort to make me feel comfortable, ladies at reception were rude. The nurse who did my ultrasound was lovely however the other member of staff in the room made me feel very uncomfortable and was entirely unfriendly. Overall, a really uncomfortable experience and the worst experience I’ve had so far in regard to women’s health.

Review titled Good service, apart from reception
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Jay Leggett - Posted on 03 June 2024
Our experience at the minor injuries unit at 4:53pm on 03/06/2024 was mixed. Firstly the receptionist was very rude and did not seem bothered that we needed help. She rolled her eyes and did not even acknowledge us. However, when we eventually sat down and were seen. The Triage nurse, was very helpful and calmed my partner down. Great experience since that.

First visit to Bognor Memorial Hospital physiotherapy department. Met the physiotherapist who was delightful. So professional but friendly and reassuring too. I felt so much more confident and positive after my appointment. I am looking forward to my post op sessions. Thank you.

Review titled Bad Experience
by Anonymous - Posted on 12 September 2024
I am a 30yr old male who came here, as I was experiencing repeated knee issues (since June 2023), seeking for a referral to an MRI Scan. I was advised by 111 to attend further consultation, based on my answers. I arrived at the hospital with an appointment, with my expectations to be referred for an MRI. Upon arrival, the ladies at reception were disinterested and quite honestly rude, like they didn't want to be there. They asked me some initial questions, one was when did the initial injury occur (at the time it was 5 months prior), they looked at each other then back at me with a stare, like I was making it up. As it wasn't my first time going to the NHS with my ongoing issue, I knew I would go through consultation prior to seeing the nurse/doctor. The lady, who I saw for my consultation was very nice and after going through my history of my knee issues, I was asked to go back to the waiting room. After a little wait, I was called in to be examined. I was in a open room, which was then covered away by a curtain. With one nurse and 2 apprentices on work experience. As the nurse was squishing around my knee, I was answering some questions to her as she was examining. After a couple mins, she had completed her examination and stated 'You are not squealing in pain, when I touch your knee, so I think its minor damage. It Maybe to your LCL ligament' (which is not where my main pain was), you'll be fine in 2 weeks with RICE therapy'. I had already received this advise from my GP. So, embarrassed, I accepted and left. Since this visit, my knee kept buckling & re-ballooning, I therefore had to go to private physio & private health care to get answers, as I knew something wasn't right. I have had my MRI scan & I have gone through private health re-assessment & consultation. The true outcome of my knee issues were; a complete rupture of my ACL, complex tears in both meniscus', complex tears in my posterior horn ligament and a complex tear in my medial cruciate ligament. Thankfully, I have now been booked into surgery (15 months after my initial injury), to rectify my knee issues, once and for all before starting 12 months rehab. I wonder if I hadn't seeked private care & got booked into my MRI, if I would still being told 'You're not squealing in pain, so you'll be ok in a couple weeks'.

Review titled Fantastic care
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended the urgent care centre after suffering with wheezing etc whilst on holiday. The staff at each stage were friendly, honest and knowledgeable and the entire process was very well organised and seamless. There was communication between each stage which saved time and the overall experience was very quick and had a positive outcome. I am very impressed and would definitely not think twice about using the service again if (hopefully not!) it was ever needed again. Thank you!

Always welcoming, professional, on-time, reactive when you need them. Getting an appointment is easy, messaging is easy as well. What’s not to like.
