  1. Review titled Amazing staff in Endoscopy department

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 April 2023

I attended for an endoscopy appointment at the hospital. I was very nervous but the staff made me feel at ease. The staff were incredibly kind and caring with me when I couldn’t have one procedure done so they offered me a different one. The doctor and 2 nurses in the procedure were so helpful and supportive throughout and made me feel at ease even though I was a mess! They are an absolute asset to the NHS!

  3. Review titled I just wanted to say how impressed I am

    by Carol8763b! - Posted on 17 January 2023

I just wanted to say how impressed I am with the NHS. Having paid for private Physio I got to the stage where I knew more in depth treatment was needed so went to my GP. Who sent me for X-ray - following X-ray I was sent to the Oasis center at Bridgwater hospital- following this I was sent to Cotford st Luke for a steroid injection. The whole process was flawless - the service and team were great . Follow up appointments are in place already . Everyone moans about the nhs but I only have had positive experiences

  4. Review titled Not the best experience today

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 December 2022

I came to the Obstetrics Clinic today. I ended up waiting 1 hour 45 mins exactly for my appointment. I’m a very understanding person as I also work in a hospital however, there was no communication as to why I was left waiting that long. Every woman who arrived after me was seen before me. I went to ask at the reception desk if I was checked in correctly & was told “I don’t know I don’t have that clinic list”. As a patient it would have been better if you could have gone to find out for me, explained why I was waiting so long & reassured me. After all that when I eventually saw the consultant she was lovely & very informative about my own personal medical situation.

  5. Review titled Knee and Leg pain finally diagnosed

    by rhinopk93 - Posted on 09 November 2022

I got x-rays on my right knee in December 2021 which did not show anything which would cause so much pain. My GP then referred me for physiotherapy which made the knee pain worse, I ended up on crutches and painkillers. I then paid for my own MRI Scan and Physiotherapist to find out what was wrong and again no real clues to what the issue was. In desperation for help I walked into Bridgwater Community Hospital Bower lane and in just 2 visits they have identified that my right hip is very bad and causing all the issues. I wish I had walked into Bridgwater Hospital much earlier in the year, I have now lost my job because of this issue and have had mental health issues worrying about the situation. I cannot thank Bridgwater Hospital enough for their care and treatment. [Very happy with 'Treatment']

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I visited the Minor Injury Unit today. Had a problem with my ear and was also on holiday. I was in and out in under and hour which was fantastic. All the staff I saw were extremely friendly and efficient. Well done to everyone. I was nervous about going but won’t be again if I needed attention whilst on holiday. Thank you

Visited with my 95 year old mother today, who turned out to have fractured her wrist. Methodical and meticulous assessment, efficient investigation, friendly and cheerful treatment, and appropriate onward referral. And all achieved in just 2 hours. Well done and thanks to all.

  9. Review titled Excellent

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Came in for an outpatient endoscopy. Staff very courteous and procedure done professionally and speedily Most important/excellent - immediate feedback on results. Much better than an interminable wait for a letter. With thanks to staff.

  10. Review titled Utter joke

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 July 2022

31/2 hour wait time for a vulnerable 80 yr old woman 2 days post opp. Assured a quick time over the phone then told an hour wait on arrival only to be still sat in the waiting room. Reception staff incompetent, unprofessional and completely uninterested at best, staff move like they're on £3 an hour and spend more time chatting at the desk than seeing patients. Couldn't be happier that national insurance has dropped, hopefully it will result in lower wages for lazy inept staff. Avoid at all costs.
