  1. Review titled Wonderful staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Been for a regular glaucoma check at the Assessment Centre in the Galleries this morning, Friday 7th. 2 staff dealt with my tests and both understood and accommodated my need to move through the department in a specific order so my contact lenses stayed useful as long as possible. Order was Field Test, Vision check, pressures, dilation drops then imaging. Arrived early, was still seen before my due time and was back on the bus the earliest I've ever been. Would name both staff if allowed but if they read these reviews I'm the patient you cleaned the work surface for so my contacts could be taken out who also brought her own eye patch with her. Excellent customer service that needs recognition.

  2. Review titled Fantastic Service

Today I attended the accident department at the Bristol Eye Hospital. The staff that dealt with me were, without exception, a credit to the hospital, the NHS and themselves. The waiting time was much shorter than I was expecting and the treatment I received was first class. Thank you for the excellent service you give, and a happy new year to everyone.

  3. Review titled Amazing service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I needed emergency retinal laser treatment. The department was extremely busy but we were treated with professionalism, kindness and care. I wish I could name my Dr who treated me, he was truly amazing. He had already worked 13 hours when he treated me and was on call for another 11 hours! He treated all of us with respect and kindness. I have additional complex health needs that were respected. Just one thing, please reinstate a staff room for the bristol eye hospital emergency room staff where they can easily have access to refreshments rather than having to leave the department to have a break - my Dr didn’t have a break in 13 hours!. Thankyou so much to all staff, you are a credit to the health service.

  6. Review titled Great Care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was registered very quickly, after an hour was triaged & just less than 2 hours later saw the Consultant. She was absolutely superb, very thorough, explained everything in great detail and extremely compassionate. Having come in feeling very stressed & anxious I left feeling very reassured and immensely grateful for her care & expertise.

Very caring as soon as you walk in. Seen very quickly by 2 nurses, who quickly diagnosed the eye issues. Treatment and aftercare discussed and given, felt very comfortable and in expert hands, with super kind efficient medical staff from start to finish.

Staff were very professional and accommodating, and the doctor was happy to take time to discuss test results and answer questions. (Could maybe just use a few more chairs in the waiting areas)

  10. Review titled Wonderful service

An unexpected walk in was greeted from the outset with efficiency and friendliness. Quite a slick process from reception to waiting room. I was seen very quickly by a very competent nurse who identified the issue. I then regrettably had to wait 4 hours to be seen by a doctor but it is an A&E department so some delays are to be expected. One of the staff helpfully explained why there were additional delays which did help. When I finally saw a Doctor, I was quickly re-diagnosed & given the necessary prescription with advice on follow-up personal care. Excellent day out.
