Review titled Some really caring staff, maybe a couple not so much
Rated 3 stars out of 5

Thank you to the staff that did really try to help me, hopefully I will get that specialist hosptial for the correct treatment that is not offered here, but I lost hope j,f,k,b,o,s,v, thank you so much but the specialist hosptial I needed to be in way back at the start of my admission hasn’t happened yet and I am trying to hold on but am so uncertain about what the doctors plans are for me, certain illnesses can’t be helped here apparently and there’s times I have been kept safe when I needed that input, other times I’ve been left when I really needed help in certain situations, it’s a great ward with some great staff, and I really felt I would get better here work on myself and have a treatment plan in place, I was told this is not possible and I need longer term treatment however the doctors don’t always listen, they can talk about you but they would never be able to walk a minute in your shoes, I hope they do what is best and I know I need but I don’t have much hope in that, if you are ever admitted here give it your best shot because recovery is so worth it, but certain illnesses you may have will not be helped here, I’m hoping for the best but I think some staff mainly the doctor fails to see the person I actually am and not the one written on paper, I hope one day il get the help I’ve so desperately needed, or maybe they’ll discharge me, whatever there plans I am happy with either one because I’m tired, and I can’t be any more open that I’ve already been, I hope they did hear me but I don’t think they have, we’ll see I guess. Anyone struggling stay strong yeah and if cherry ward can help you with your struggles and illnesses then you have some amazing staff around you to help, accept the help and don’t ever push people away, even if that’s all you’ve ever known it is the worst thing you could do no matter the situation, thank you cherry ward staff for what you’ve done for me while being here, I just hope I go to the right place but we’ll see what the doctor wants to do with me either way it’s cool with me, I did not chose this life I did not chose to be unwell please just remember that, hopefully I go on to receive the right treatment but I’m not quite sure if I’ve been listened to or not

I am so grateful for the careful consideration and overwhelming compassion you have shown to my son while he was an inpatient with you at Cherry Ward. You have provided a safe haven to enable his journey to recovery. Thank you so much for saving his life.

Thank you for leaving this feedback, we have shared this with the Matron so she can share with the team. This will really make their day and I thank you for taking the time to let them know of your experience. We wish you and your son all the very best for the future and his continued recovery. Best wishes, Jo Collins, DH of Patient and Carer Experience
