Review titled Terrible practice
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Josh - Posted on 13 February 2025
My wife took my extremely ill son to you when he had a high temp, wasn’t eating or drinking and was feeling so unwell. They was in and out with minimal tests being completed. After 2 days of him not getting better he was taken to the GP and diagnosed with Strep A and they was very concerned and needed antibiotics and continued to be very ill. Extremely disappointed that my son was neglected and had to suffer for longer than needed due to incompetence of the works. Wouldn’t recommend going there and would take the extra time to go to Colchester.

Review titled Great experience.
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Just wanted to say what a pleasant experience it was today when we had our blood tests taken from the new blood centre. Afterwards we visited the Tower Restaurant and were very impressed with everything. So clean and well presented. Food excellent. The chap at the front of house could not have more helpful. Full marks to all your staff. Thank you.

Review titled Good practitioners, but....
Rated 4 stars out of 5

Everyone I have met at Clacton is very friendly and helpful, but try to get through to a particular department and the switchboard puts you through to a generic number where the phone just rings and rings and then you wait for ages to actually speak to someone. Today after 2 hours trying to speak to someone, I gave up! No wonder the hospital complains about no-shows, you cannot get through to anyone to talk to cancel your appointment, if that is what you want to do. For example the physiotherapy phone just rings and rings and there is no answer phone, so you cannot leave a message. If I was cancelling an appointment (which I wasn't) I would not have been able to do so. My husband had the same experience with another department recently. Today I gave up trying to get through, so my question remains unanswered. The care you receive is excellent but customer relations is hopeless and even the switchboard doesn't have contact details for some of the departments.

Review titled Frustrating delay
by silverwarexz73 - Posted on 01 March 2023
I arrived 10 minutes early for a 10:40 appointment. I saw the doctor soon after 12 noon so my appointment was almost 1 1/2 hours late. For my last appointment I was held up and arrived 10 minutes late for the first time ever only to find the staff waiting for me so I was only in the hospital for 10-15 minutes. I just do not understand the difference, maybe form filling between patients? Whatever the reason it needs sorting out, I was going to walk out and perhaps if enough of us did management might get their act together and deal with this situation. I am not blaming the staff for the delays, the procedure they have to follow is more likely the problem.
