Review titled Urgent Treatment Centre - amazing
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Lottie - Posted on 12 November 2024
Went in with a problem with my ear - was triaged quickly, and waited 3 hours, which was incredible as my issue wasn’t extremely urgent. The care delivered by all was outstanding, the premises were clean, and the care plan made was effective. I was referred to ENT quickly and now have an appointment with them. Thank you to all the staff for your hard work, it is appreciated. The only problem I can think of is to be wary of the portable charging system - we were charged the £30 for not returning the portable charger - when we did - we must have not put it back in the machine correctly.

Review titled Ambulance crew were amazing
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by David Northcott - Posted on 09 November 2024
I had to call for an ambulance for my wife who had severe tummy pains and sickness. They arrived within 20 minutes of my call and were so kind and caring. They were very professional. Once at the hospital they remained with her until she admitted for tests etc. They made sure i was looked after as well. My wife has since undergone major surgery which has saved her life. We are so grateful for the wonderful people who work for the NHS and all they do for people in need. David

Review titled Unbelievably slow
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I write this still sat in the hospital, 10hrs after arriving at A&E following a GP appointment at the attached surgery. All I've had is a blood test by a healthcare assistant and a CT Scan. After waiting in A&E for 1hr, I was told to go surgical assessment unit without even being seen. When I arrived a basic assessment wasnt conducted by a doctor for 6hrs. This then only lasted 2minutes, before being told to go for a CT scan which i waited another hour for and was completely empty when i arrived. Furthermore, I'm still sat here waiting for the results to be sent over (apparently) over 2hrs afterwards. No pain relief offered, no updates just staff deliberately avoiding eye contact and blaming other departments for delays. Genuinely appalled

Review titled Really great experience
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 29 October 2024
Having arrived at A and E in considerable pain I was triaged quickly and had my first assessment by a doctor within 30 mins. I was then referred to majors and had various checks and blood tests completed. Every member of staff I came across was so helpful and I was also able to see this with other patients they were dealing with. The whole process took about 6 hours but as they were waiting for blood tests I understood it would be a wait. They were able to rule out anything major which put my mind at ease. I was surprised just how much testing they were able to do just in A and E

Review titled Great calming experience for someone with health anxiety
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Nurse jackie - Posted on 25 October 2024
I saw nurse in the a and e, lady with short grey hair and tattoo’s … after an awfully painful experience at Clacton hospital the day before and as someone that already suffers health anxiety, she made me feel so calm and really eased my anxiousness, ensuring that the procedure was done with minimal pain, really attentive and can tell she really cares for her patients and her job. Thank you for making a traumatic experience as easy as possible

Review titled Excellent Service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Miss Sally Cannon - Posted on 15 October 2024
I attended A&E after a fall involving my shoulder. I was seen within the hour even though this was not life threatening, had x-ray and nurse confirmed her suspicions that if was a fracture and how to treat this. It was confirmed by specialist in 48 hours. Cannot fault professional and caring treatment.

Review titled Excellent care

Whilst waiting to deliver my baby, she went into stress & the consultant/staff straight away jumped into action. They were absolutely amazing, they all knew what they were doing, prepared me for an emergency c-section. Despite all of the underfunding in the NHS they all jumped through hoops-I want to say a huge thank you to the team that were on duty on 29/09/2024 at 1:40am

Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Gilly - Posted on 16 September 2024
All the staff who were involved with our Mum’s care on EAU + Tiptree ward were wonderful. We were listened to by Dr’s + all nursing staff + we could not have wished for her to have any better care throughout her 6 days in hospital. My brother + I were also well looked after too! Thank you everyone who was involved - you know who you are! 🥰 Keep up your very good work. With love + thanks Gilly
