Review titled Visitor’s negative experience
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 25 August 2023
I brought my sister-in-law to visit her daughter in Caroline House today. She uses a stick. It was her first visit and she was really disappointed and upset at her experience. I would especially like to raise that there was no chair, or even a stool, to sit on in her daughter’s room. She remained standing the entire time she was there. She is in her eighties, deeply unhappy at her daughter’s situation and recovering from hip replacement surgery. This is poor practice in any hospital setting but when visiting your beloved daughter who is deeply impaired following a catastrophic stroke it is appalling. No visitor should have to stand when visiting. She surmised that you don’t really want to encourage visitors but surely to have them onside can help both you and all the therapists and the patient. I would be interested to hear your response.

Review titled 5 Star Care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Nigel Aldred - Posted on 27 March 2023
I spent 4 weeks at Pine Cottage Rehab Unit & the care l received during this time from all the staff both clinical & support was absolutely excellent, this unit deserves a 5 star rating. The ongoing physio care is also excellent, staff are very caring and accommodating,it really is a great place for any amputees, to recuperate and gain strength and mobility in a safe environment. I have never experienced such wonderful care from so many people. They should all be very proud of themselves, and the unit deserves recognition for their hard work in providing this level of exceptional care.

Review titled Professional support
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Eric oldham - Posted on 02 January 2023
As an amputee at pine cottage I have been treated with huge respect, the surgeons, doctors, nurses, support team are all kind, understanding. I felt part of a large family, and was fortunate enough to share the ward with a stoic bunch of boys, good friends. Everything was available, I’m positive about the future, going forward, nothing will stop me achieving my goals. Thankyou so very much, I shall miss the support and camaraderie from staff and the team, but shall continue to visit for my new foot fittings etc..

Review titled Great experience
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Tracy Dack - Posted on 22 November 2022
Had my first appointment there yesterday, I was greeted by the receptionist who was expecting me, seen by the consultant who was just the loveliest person to deal with, empathetic and sympathetic and totally understanding, I’d been trying to get treatment for a long time but it certainly is worth the wait. I will be attending for more treatment.
