  1. Review titled Great service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Naomi - Posted on 01 June 2024

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to go to a&e as I had difficulties with breathing. I was seen promptly and everyone I dealt with was kind, friendly and professional. The doctor who explained my results was lovely, and spent time explaining things to me. The only thing I’d say is that the toilets smelt and needed a clean.

  2. Review titled Lead replaced in pacemaker

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Brian Chute - Posted on 20 June 2024

I was exremely pleased with the attention recieved in operating theatre and later by nursing staff in recovery. All the personnel could not have been more attentive at all times and the lunch provided was like being in a highly rated hotel. I would appreciate if the nursing staff could be made aware of my comments

  3. Review titled Unhygienic

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anushka - Posted on 27 June 2024

I attended a scan this day with the sonographer. I asked for more tissue to wipe my abdomen after a scan. I went to take part of a new unused tissue from near the top of the bed. But the sonographer insisted that I took a part of the tissue where I was lying down on the scanning bed. They don't seem to know the purpose of putting a paper on the scanning bed. As I did not want to make a scene I left. Very unhygienic and very disappointed with the behaviour maybe due to lack of training or ignorance. They are in need of training.

  4. Review titled Extremely helpful

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I went to Mayday today & was in search of my mother who seemed very distressed & confused when I spoke with her on her mobile, after a 30 second conversation the phone cut off. I raced to Mayday & went to the dept she visited the previous 2 days. They were so helpful & told me they sent her for x ray & bloods, & that she had left those departments. I didn’t find her (as she had left) but 10/10 for the 2 receptionists who helped.

  5. Review titled 7 hour wait in maternity triage

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anushka - Posted on 21 May 2024

I went to maternity triage in Croydon University hospital on 20 May 2024. I was quickly taken in by the midwife around 5 pm. They did the initial checks and I was asked to stay in the waiting area to be seen by a doctor. I was finally seen by a doctor around 12.00 midnight after a 7 hour wait! That was also only because I informed them that I had to go home. The doctor and midwife who saw me were lovely. But they are clearly understaffed. When the doctors are in surgery there is no one to cover. There were a number of patients who were clearly in pain but waiting as they had no other option. I finally left the hospital around 12:40 am. I expected a 3 -4 hour wait as you usually wait for that long in A and E. However, it is disappointing that the trust does not use tax payers money to employ more doctors!

  6. Review titled Outrageous behaviour

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Rosanna - Posted on 21 April 2024

Whilst my husband was being seen by the streaming nurse, I used an extra chair to sit as I am pregnant. Regardless of my situation another nurse came over and pulled the chair from under me, stating only the patient can sit. She was extremely rude and to add to this, this was extremely shocking behaviour from hospital staff

  10. Review titled Great team at Breast Surgery

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Alba Cabral - Posted on 11 June 2024

I have had a very good experience with all the professionals involved at the Breast Surgery department. I had to go through a mastectomy with a breast reconstruction at Croydon Hospital. All the staff at the-pre assessment and pos-surgery were very friendly, assuring, caring, helpful and confident. Every single person I met on that day was very important to make me feel at ease with such a massive experience I had never dreamt of going through. Not only my Breast surgeon was high-skilled and supportive all way through but all the other members providing care on that day. The nurses at the ward during the day were also very friendly. The nurses of the night shift were a bit less engaging but they all met my needs. I'm very thankful for the whole experience and very pleased that the CUH was able to provide it within NHS system.
