Review titled Poor Organisation
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Brian Johnson - Posted on 10 March 2025
I attended the walk-in hearing clinic a month ago. I arrived 40 minutes early so I could be seen early. I was told to sit and wait until called to receive an order of being seen number. About20 minutes later a small queue had developed at the reception window so I went up and asked if I should join the queue but was told to sit down. When the receptionist called out that the numbers were available I went up to the window and was told to join the end of the queue that was by then at least 30 people long. I stated I had asked and been told to sit down hut the lady receptioist simply said 'I am doing what I was told!' I was quite annoyed as I was the first person there (and the receptionist knew I was), I simply obeyed what I was told to do, yet was faced with a huge wait. I wrote a letter of complaint and handed it in to the appropriate reception desk where the lady who caused the problem took it. I asked for a response as to why this happened, yet one month later, I have heard nothing. Very poor customer relations indeed. It used to be organised in a much better way.

Review titled Excellent service all round
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Mike Bilton - Posted on 05 February 2025
Saw my GP five days ago and he suggested I have an Xray at the East Riding Community hospital in Beverley.Telephoned the hospital on Monday to enquire how long the waiting time was for an Xray and was told around seven to ten days. However a very helpful lady in that department said that my request had only just been received but once it had been approved she would book me in. Received a telephone call from her in the afternoon to say an appointment had been arranged for 17th Feb.and a letter had been sent out to confirm. However I was told to ignore this as there had been a cancellation for the following day at 14.10pm. Arrived at hospital for the appointment at 14.00pm and was shown straight into the Xray room without any wait. The nurse who carried this out was extremely professional both in her manner and duty. I cannot speak to highly of the service I received and the Staff who dealt with me. Would certainly recommend anyone who needs an Xray to have it at the East Riding Community Hospital in Beverley.

Review titled Excellent care in x-ray dept
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Sylvia Green - Posted on 05 February 2025
Because of my many mobility issues, the x-ray lady took exceptional care of me. Helping me onto the table because of my spinal issues. She had a lot of patience and I was not rushed . She seemed to be extremely knowledgeable and definitely knew what she was doing. Because of her, this hospital visit was not a daunting as I thought it was going to be.

Review titled Good ... and not so good!

Attended Urgent treatment for a dislocated finger at 10.30 am. Received excellent treatment from Radiographer and Nurse Practitioner after she started her shift at 3pm and was then dealt with within the hour. I would question the triage nurse's / Nurse Practitioner's decision during the morning shift as I was informed such injuries should be attended within the hour.

Visited the urgent treatment centre, Monday morning. It was very busy, but the staff were polite, helpful and reassuring and able to leave after a two hour wait. Many thanks.
