Review titled Positive experience A&E

My elderly mother visited A&E at ESH. Every member of staff we encountered was kind, patient and skilled in their job. The staff remained kind and compassionate even when faced with challenging and demanding patients who were reluctant to listen to the staff. The nurses in A&E listened to elderly patients concerns even though they were rushed off their feet.

I attended A&E with a family member on a busy Monday morning. We were seen quickly and efficiently by the staff from the Healthcare Assistant through to the Consultant. Each and every member of staff was friendly, polite and caring and it was very busy and the staff still took time to ensure every step was explained.

Just contacted outpatients and spoke to the Admin manager Asked for a change of appointment for my son Abruptly told that he had to phone due to confidentiality which I understand My son has lots of appointments and was trying to get 2 together more locally Very unhelpful and abrasive person who does not give the NHS a good impression

My granddaughter cut her head on a table. Took her to East Surrey Hospital. She was seen within 15 minutes of entering the hospital in Paediatric department. A nurse/doctor then saw her and glued her head. In and out within the hour. Very quick and great treatment. Thank you.

I was admitted as an emergency to East Surrey hospital recently. I spent time in both A&E, Surgical Assessment Unit and Nutfield Ward. The care I received was amazing and although phenomenally busy, staff always found time to help me and keep me informed. I saw a doctor every day, sometimes several times a day. I needed two MRI scans and an ultrasound. A&E were great and I was seen and assessed quickly and then bought back for a scan on the following morning and admitted. I worked at the Trust many years ago and it was so lovely to see staff from 20 years ago still working there and that is fabulous. I can safely say I was very happy with the care I received and I would be very proud of the team if they were in my organisation. Thank you

After my GP made an urgent referral to ENT, my appointment was through within a few weeks, at my appointment I was not kept waiting long at all. The hospital was clean and organised, the doctor I saw was thorough, yet quick, she organised a CT scan and a follow up, both appointments came through within weeks. The CT scan was in the portacabin outside the hospital and it was the quickest appointment I've every had and I wasn't charged for parking! Very well drilled and set up well. I have my follow up booked for mid July already. Overall a very good service at East Surrey, impressed at how clean the hospital and facilities were. Easy to park (although it was morning), They are definitely doing something right despite the pressures, well done!

I had my right knee replacement on the 19th of May, I was treated extremely well with complete respect by all staff members, the aftercare in the recovery unit was extremely good as was the care afterwards in the surgery ward, all staff were extremely helpful, professional and friendly, wouldn't hesitate to recommend and for when I next go in for my other knee.

My husband has been treated at East Surrey Hospital for 5 years and the treatment he has received has been outstanding. On every visit the staff are friendly and welcoming, appointments have been arranged quickly and efficiently and the standard of care has been exemplary. It has given us peace of mind and confidence that we are being well looked after and this has had a positive impact on my husband’s well-being and recovery. Thank you for being such a centre of excellence.

Review titled Wait for Death Certificate

In my view, this country has become a third world place when it comes to process. My brother has passed away 3 weeks ago and yet we are still waiting on the death certificate to be issued. Between the Doctors and Coroner, this country and its hospitals I have lost faith in 100 percent. Dr rings me and says we have sent the paperwork to the coroner office, ring them on Monday morning and get a status update. Guess what, Coroner has not even received the information from the Doctor.

Review titled Great compassionate care at Brook ward

The op was a success but I developed complications and I stayed in Brook ward for 2 weeks. The medical and nursing care was brilliant and second to none especially when I was at my most vulnerable. I am very grateful to all at Brook ward for their care and compassion .
