relative of mine had to go to A&E due to the fact that his catheter was blocked. Arrived round about 9pm ish and wasnt seen till 5am ish the following morning. My Relative was in so much pain and left him to suffer. My Relative also had to be hoisted as they were wheelchair bound and they did not have a hoist as they couldn't find one.

Review titled Wonderful Doctor
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Joseph Lancaster - Posted on 21 August 2024
We went into a&e last night with our 6 week old boy, we were concerned with his behaviour in the past few days and a rash. We first of all were taken very quickly to the childrens department the nurses were very thorough and reassured us he is fine. We then went to meet the paediatrician, she was Brilliant , you could tell she had a lot of experience and knowledge with newborns. She looked him over for 5 minutes and then told us he has a small allergy and helped us with feeding and essential points about him at this weight and answered a few important queries that I had accumulated in my head over the last 3/4 weeks. We feel so lucky that we saw her and so grateful for how great she was so I wanted to say thank you.

Review titled They actually care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Maggie - Posted on 27 August 2024
I have been a regular patient at the hospital for the last 2 weeks and my hope is that after today, I won’t have to go in again. During my many visits to the ugcc and today the Theatre, all I can say is a big thank you to all the nurses, sisters and doctors I had the pleasure of meeting. They were all professional, friendly, courteous and genuinely seemed to care about me and my well being. I can fault the service received. Thank you again for looking after me!

Review titled Generally good care overall but some significant concerns.
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Mrs Vanessa L Bell - Posted on 08 February 2025
Our experience of the antenatal, maternity and postnatal units at Frimley was generally positive - however, there are some significant areas of concern that we would like to feedback on regarding our experience with an early term infant induction birth. 1) Re Information given regarding recommendation of induction at term due to sga. No information was provided on the known risk that birth at term can lead to significant challenges establishing bf and likely jaundice and readmission (as did indeed happen). Had we been given this information ahead of induction we would have prepared for the potential scenario (for example, by bringing a breast pump into hospital). There needs to be fuller and more honest conversations with parents regarding the risks of induction at term, or at least a readiness to have such conversations. 2) Re Lack of awareness and care in postnatal for early term infants struggling with Bf. We received some Bf support, but not enough - priority should be given to early term infants on the postnatal ward, who are falling through the cracks. This would save resources in the long term by avoiding tcu readmissions due to weight loss and jaundice when Bf does not establish. Ideally mothers of late preterm and early term babies should be offered access to breast pumps in the postnatal ward to allow for double pumping between feeds. 3) More specialist lactation support should be given in Tcu for breastfeeding. Offering formula by bottle does not do this, as a baby will take the bottle more easily, which fails to promote mothers' own supply by encouraging time at the breast. We were not offered cup or syringe feeding for our 5 day old, and new parents cannot be expected to ask for this. We were the only family on the ward, so it was not busy. In conclusion, all midwives, doctors, consultants and paediatricians must be trained in lactation, or at least provided with information on signposting parents to professional Ibclc support. Failure to do so only creates problems and costs down the line. We were never able to fully establish Bf, and what we were able to establish we do not attribute to the care we received in either antenatal, maternity or postnatal, where Bf is not sufficiently supported.

Review titled Poor practice
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 23 July 2024
My wife had been seen at our local doctors practice for severe shoulder pain and referred for an emergency x-ray at Frimley Park Hospital. On arrival at the department the staff showed little or no empathy, understanding or compassion with regard to my wife’s condition . I dropped her off at 20.00hrs and picked her up the top next morning at 04.30 hrs - 8hrs for an emergency x-ray ,disgraceful. She was upset ,tearful and in more pain than when she arrived at the hospital . They should be ashamed of how they behave .

Review titled Wonderful surgeon showing the best of the NHS
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Dianne Strang - Posted on 01 September 2024
My partner was admitted on 29/7 after a cycling accident. A full hip replacement was required and a surgeon capable of this was not available until 31/7. Although in a lot of pain during this time, my partner and I both feel that he was very lucky indeed with the surgeon who performed the operation. We are not allowed to name him but hk is an absolute credit to the National Health Service. Thoroughly professional, with great communication skills and an engaging, highly empathic man, we feel reassured that the best possible care and skill has been brought to the overall experience. Although there are knee issues to be resolved in the future, the recovery from the new hip replacement is quite remarkable and we can only say a heartfelt thank you.

Review titled Superb Staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Clive Husselbury - Posted on 18 June 2024
I attended for a colonoscopy performed by a Consultant. I interfaced with no less than 10 of the staff. All of the team were excellent, helpful, friendly and professional plus went out of their way to make me comfortable. The whole process was very smooth and painless. The only downside, which is not the fault of the clinical staff, is access to the hospital and the parking situation which is simply awful so do arrive early.

I have been attending this ENT clinic for many years. I have a chronic ear condition. I had been waiting since the end of 2022 for my usual follow up appointment. I finally manged to get through to clinic today May 2024. I was struck by how stressed and exasperated the receptionist was. Not in anyway rude to me just exhausted I guess by numerous people chasing appointments . They mentioned that my 18 month wait was quite the norm ...despite their own recommendation that I should see this consultant every 6 months. Its such a shame we are where we are .....
