Review titled Outstanding Care Received
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Alex Soim - Posted on 26 June 2024
I heard good words before about glenfield before,I tought they were just overreacting. But I was admited here in i.c and I can say if I would pay a 6star hotel, they wouldn.t give same care as nurses from here done for me.Attention to details,polite,kind,100% for patients. Hard to say that I would like to be back in hospital again :) If all hospitals would have this type of system and employers, this country would be a wonderful thing! I wanna thank you to all staffs from here for everything :)

Hi I was taken by ambulance to the CDU at Glenfield hospital (13/04/2024). I had a very fast heart rate and was feeling very physically and mentally weak. I was treated with skill, kindness and respect from start to finish. The nurses, the doctors and the consultant were absolutely fantastic. I can’t thank you all enough.

Review titled Outstanding department SDEC
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Chloe perrin - Posted on 10 April 2024
I was sent to the Same Day Emergency care clinic by my doctor a day ago for various reasons. I was greeted at the desk with the happiest clerk you could ever imagine! She was brilliant from start to finish and just a joy to be greeted by even when feeling quite unwell. Every member of staff on this department were outstanding and they made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. The doctors and nurses on this department were all so polite and very gentle taking bloods, treatments etc. I cannot thank all of the staff enough for their hard work and getting me the treatment I needed. I hope this review doesn’t go unnoticed and they get praise for what they are doing there every day because they all deserve to hear what a great job they’re doing! Thank you all again!

Review titled Excellent care

At the beginning of March I underwent major cardiac surgery which was skillfully and successfully performed. My aftercare was wonderful from all the staff: medical, nursing, auxiliary. Procedures were carried out competently and with kindness; I felt safe and relaxed because of their efficiency. As a result of the operation and subsequent care I have continued to recover well at home.

Review titled Tooo long for a blod test
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 07 March 2024
We start our journey at 3pm in royale hospital then at 5 pm they sent us to glenfield hospital.the reason why i am writing this revie is because my mum had blood test at 8pm and after 4 of waiting we still did not speak with the doctor about result. I a shame for this hospital to have this kind of issue, tgey have amazing nurs and staff members but they need to work on time. Everyone want to finish and go home. The doctor told us 2/3 hours for the result but here we are at 1am and still waiting to speak with the doctor. After this experience i dont want to go to any emergency hospital, because I already know we need to wait al leat 11+hours. Hope they improve the tome spent in the hospital for patient otherwise they get more sick at staying at hospital then at home.

Review titled Contact by email
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Julie - Posted on 13 April 2024
Whilst the NHS Leicester hospitals are doing their best to care and support patients with ailments and conditions I would like to raise an issue I find myself in. I lost my voice in 2019 and my world is finding things that are took for granted are now a problem. If I needed emergency help the only way this can happen is to phone, this is a big concern for me and I speak for others in the same situation I cannot use a phone. Now if someone is with me there is no problem but if I am on my own then it is a big problem because I can’t raise the alarm. I want to help and just suggest that there is an emergency email service where there are jobs to respond directly to emails. This could be extended to all the emergency services.
