Review titled unbelievable care and treatment
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Alex Dougan - Posted on 05 June 2024
I was unfortunate to be admitted to A&E at Good Hope Hospital on Saturday 1st June 2024. I almost collapsed in the car park when a young lady ambulance personnel came and offered me assistance. She took me to the ward and the nursing staff took over. What a bunch of caring people they are. They had my problem sorted within half an hour and took the greatest care of me. The ambulance lady even came back to see that I was ok. I cant believe the service that these ladies and the doctor provided. Everyone that I encountered was really happy and looked so passionate. Thank you so much for all the care and attention that you gave me. These people deserve to be paid a lot more than they get at the moment. Kind regards Alex

Visited A&E today. What a caring Team. From Reception to Minor Injuries and the Porters….what a service!!!! Yes, they were extremely busy, but we all waited our turn and seen to by Staff who I am always in awe of. I saw a wonderful young lady. My wound was assessed, X Rays taken and then dressed so beautifully. I left with added notes to assist me with my redressing and recuperation. Thank you, thank you, thank you. What a day you all had. We are So lucky to have the NHS!!!

I recently had 2nd degree burns, partner had bilateral pneumonia and then I had chest pain and breathing issues. The care and staff in every department we met in the past few months have been exceptional. We have felt so well cared for by the incredible staff we have encountered throughout the past few months. I'm so grateful and lucky to have such an amazing hospital close by.

Review titled Fantastic service

I recently attended an appointment at the breast clinic and feel I should take time to provide feedback following this visit. I cannot praise enough the care and service I received from everyone involved. It was a seamless experience from start to finish. I would like to thank admin staff, nursing/HCA staff, medical staff and radiography staff. Also, anyone else who is involved in the planning and arrangement of the clinics. I was seen promptly by a doctor then sent for scans. I waited for a short while and was advised of the results ,which was very reassuring. Every part of the process was completed on the day. Once again, thank you to everyone involved; very much appreciated.

Review titled Thank You to the Exceptional Staff at Goodhope Hospital
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Ibrahim Arshad - Posted on 29 May 2024
It's truly difficult to capture the depth of our gratitude in writing, but my wife and I feel compelled to express our heartfelt thanks for the incredible care we received at the Fothergill Maternity Ward Goodhope Hospital during the birth of our first child. My wife's labor was challenging, beginning with her admission on Monday evening to be induced, and culminating in the birth of our beautiful daughter on Wednesday evening. Following the delivery, our baby was admitted to the neonatal unit with a suspected infection, and my wife was also admitted to Ward 5 due to an infection. From the very start to the very end, the midwives, doctors, and nurses provided us with extraordinary support. Their genuine love and care went far beyond their job roles, with each person going above and beyond to assist us and our baby. Words cannot fully convey our gratitude for the care and compassion shown to us. NHS workers often endure long, demanding shifts, supporting families through incredibly emotional and physically stressful times, all while maintaining a positive attitude and doing it with a smile. They deserve our utmost thanks and recognition. The Fothergill Maternity Ward is home to some of the most dedicated and hardworking staff we have ever encountered. They were all truly amazing. My wife and I would like to extend special thanks to Staff at the Neonatal Ward, Delivery Suite, as well as all the staff on Ward 5. We are also grateful to everyone else who helped us but we haven't mentioned. Our stay lasted a total of five days, and we could not have navigated this challenging experience without the incredible staff at Goodhope Hospital. We sincerely hope that the team receives the recognition they so richly deserve. For anyone considering where to deliver their child, we highly recommend Goodhope Hospital for its exceptional care and wonderful staff. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

I’m an 89 year old lady and recently received an urgent referral to the dermatology clinic. The female Dr was so kind to me. A very calm, professional and reassuring lady. Thank you also to the lovely volunteer. She helped me while I was there and I really appreciated it. Thank you both for your kindness.

Review titled Not helpful

After waiting 4 years for an appointment with pain management I was given a phone appointment. I thought this was going to be for where my pain was then I would get an in clinic appointment to discuss ways of helping me manage the pain. But that wasn't the case after ringing me late, I was told that as I couldn't take painkillers little could be done. I then suggested hydrotherapy or physio therapy and was told perhaps I could get in touch with my doctor myself and only after saying it was hard to get that without a referral was o told the doctor would do it. That was the entire appointment no follow-up nothing. The whole conversation lasted less than minutes. Very disappointed.
