Review titled Great Hospital and staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Peter Alvey - Posted on 18 February 2025
I attended Ward 7 Urology at 11am Tuesday 18th February 2025 for a flexible cystoscopy procedure. All the staff including the receptionist, nurses and doctor were friendly, reassuring and informative. They helped to relax me before and during the procedure. The hospital was very clean and tidy. The nurse who initially met me stood out as extremely caring and kind. She even made me a hot drink whilst waiting for my discharge letter. I have attended Goole hospital on 3 occasions (Urology outpatients) and found the staff and doctors very friendly and professional. Thanks

I am very glad I had my knee replacement in Goole hospital. I had a very good surgeon and everybody was very professional and very good. I hope that I will have my operation on my other knee in a few months in Goole again.

Review titled Exceptional,professional care
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was admitted to ward 6after a total hip replacement carried out at SGH after suffering a fractured neck of femur. The staff, including nursing, domestic, tea ladies and physio staff were amazing. The care I received was exemplary. Nothing was too much trouble, the physio staff were encouraging and supportive, enabling me to begin the journey back to full mobility. Being a very active person it was difficult to comprehend how difficult it was just to start moving my affected leg. On discharge they ensured I had everything I needed to help me live independently. I can’t thank the staff enough. Ward 6 and the amazing physio, who always had a smile, Thank you

Review titled Lack of common courtesy.
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 31 October 2023
Came for cardiac echogram today. The sonographer didn't introduce themselves by name or job title and wasn't very welcoming. After the procedure (when I had to strip to the waist and wasn't given a gown (we don't have any) I asked this person's job title- which was given. When I said they should have introduced themselves, the sonographer didn't think it was necessary or appropriate. I disagree, it's a basic courtesy isn't it. I had to strip off in front of this employee. I was not impressed with the unfriendly attitude.

Review titled Orthopaedic dept

I attended goole district hospital on 17th October for my hip replacement. My experience on arrival at the hospital was brilliant I was immediately put at ease and the whole time she explained what will happen during my stay. And given my chance to ask questions at no time did I feel rushed. A couple of hours later I underwent the surgery. All the staff helped me with the start of my recovery. So should I have to go back at a later date I would not hesitate. So hopefully this review will be showed to the team. Apparently I am not allowed to mention the names of anyone involved with my treatment. Saying that I could not fit all the names so thank you all the staff at goole district hospital orthopaedic dept you have made the NHS proud

Having recently had a knee joint replacement at Goole Hospital. I must say that the care i received from All involved, from the appointments department, through to the surgeon and theatre team, and after care nurses on the ward, both day and night. They were all amazing, a truly wonderful and dedicated team. I only gave 5 because the ratings don't go up to 10
