I brought my 5 year old to the centre to see the orthoptist for a follow up to her school eye screening. The orthoptist was lovely- really friendly, very professional and clearly very experienced with children. She made sure to explain what she was doing and that I felt comfortable asking questions, which I really appreciated. The children's optometrist across the corridor was really warm and put my daughter at ease instantly too. We also had some food in the restaurant. The young lady in there gave excellent service and we noticed her going out of her way to be kind to other patients when staff were dealing with something urgent. I was really impressed with the people skills we saw today- thankyou!

The doctor I saw today in pain management showed great compassion and care when he saw me in clinic today. No question went unanswered and he explained what can be done to help me as well as explaining why some treatment options were not suitable any longer due to the worsening of my condition and my age.

I recently had a blood test at the Guest Hospital, my first after fainting mid-test at a different hospital. The two phlebotomists that dealt with me were absolutely lovely and really listened to all of my concerns, reassured me throughout the process and made sure I was comfortable throughout. They were so kind and chatty which really helped to calm my nerves especially as I thought I was going to faint again, and the test itself was super quick and pretty much painless which has restored my confidence and alleviated my fears of blood tests. I wanted to leave this review as a compliment to the hospital and its staff, as people (myself included) are often so quick to leave negative reviews but often don’t think to leave positive ones.

Very aggressive and rough lady who took blood today. When l asked was she ok she said that her face always looked like that.

I was recently seen in the immunology department and can’t thank staff enough for their ongoing support with my condition. I would like to give a huge thank you to the Clinical Nurse Specialist Immunology, who has been so kind and patient with me as I’ve navigated through different treatment options. A real asset to the National Health Service! I think we are so quick to complain and there should be more praise given when we receive a good service. I’m hopeful that I will soon get the treatment I need to help with my ongoing condition. Please pass on my thanks to staff and put them forward for any recognition programmes that you run.

I was sent for a routine ultrasound to this hospital and the staff that saw me were amazing. I normally get quite anxious about appointments but the manner in which I was treated I came away feeling really positive. I was listened to, I was treated with kindness and respect. I wish all my experiences were the same but that’s why I wanted to write a review because we can be so quick to complain but when it comes to praise it’s easier to forget about it rather than document it. So here it is. The two women I saw were phenomenal and I hope this somehow gets back to them as an encouragement for the job they are doing.

First time attendee for CT scan and radiologist took time to explain the process. Immediately put me at ease. Waiting time is reasonable and seen close to appointment. Very clean and bright, does not feel like I was in a hospital. Been for X-ray in November 2023 and blood test in February 2024 before imaging and all appointments were seen quickly and efficiently by friendly staff. Would be my go to for future referrals

People getting in 5-10mins early for an 8am appointment mostly all for blood tests are left out in the cold - what's the issue in letting them in and wait inside - they are doing their civic duty and helping the system be on time but that's the reward - wait outside in the cold, start a perpetual cycle of flu and eventually overload the system which already is beyond capacity. There is no shortage of chairs to seat 6-7 people so can't understand the reason? On top of it the service was delayed due to shortage of staff. I really urge the Chief Exec to look at this from a care and compassion angle which is what the NHS is known for!!

First time I've ever been to the hospital or even knew it was there even though I work just around the corner. I went for an ultrasound Scan and I couldn't believe how easy it was to find and then hoe easy it was to park. I was in and our in 15mins maximum and the 2 people that took me for the Scan were extremely friendly and wonderfully professional. Then to cap it all the car park machine told me I hadn't been long enough to pay anything at all. For me as I needed to get to school to teach my year 3s PE it could not have gone any better Thank You

The two really lovely people who did my scans were so friendly and understanding, as I hadn’t been told I was having an internal scan and I was a little nervous. They ensured I felt comfortable at all times and I can’t thank them enough for that.
