Review titled Ambulatory monitor battery ran out
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 02 November 2024
My son had an an ambulatory monitor fitted yesterday afternoon, for the weekend. He got up this morning, not even 24 hours after the fitting, to a message on the screen saying, 'recording terminated, battery low'. He waited months for this monitor and now this. There was no number to call (the number on the appointment letter just rang out - it is Saturday) and no advice given on what to do in such an occurrence. What a waste of time.

Review titled Beyond expectations.
Rated 5 stars out of 5

On the 17/10/24, I had to visit the Cardio Respiratory dept for an appointment at 0930 I used the Patient Transfer Services to get there and back. Getting there was no problem. Getting back was a challenge. The receptionist rang pts for me at 1000. It hadn't arrived two hours later. I went back to the department and the receptionist rang them again. Was then told to sit and wait in the waiting area. There was a short blonde nurse (Sorry for the description, I should have got their names) who offered to get me food and drink, and kept checking up on me. I'd like to say how much these two made my wait so much better. It was just as well because the taxi ambulance took another hour and a half to turn up. Well done to the pair of you for going above and beyond.

Review titled Excellent
Rated 5 stars out of 5

There was no option to leave a review for orthopaedic surgery. I’d like to say what lovely staff, from the security guy who stepped in as receptionist and the domestic who started personally directing patients to where they needed to go; to the nursing and theatre/recovery staff, to the amazing orthopaedic & anaesthetic consultants- they were all so kind and professional. I would recommend this hospital without a doubt,

Review titled Amazing
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I went here with some muscular chest pain done in the gym. The pain was around my chest so I was concerned enough to come to urgent treatment centre which had been recommended by a friend for having excellent service. I was not disappointed the whole team was great but the main takeaway was the doctor there who was amazing. He outlined all the options kept my expectations in check and was really clear and understanding to my concerns. I came away after a good lengthy conversation feeling reassured and that everything was fine. It’s really good when a doctor can reassure you without making you feel stupid or wasted their time. As a worker in the nhs myself I can soundly say that having a doctor of this empathic calibre is really a gem! Unfortunately I didn’t catch his name and you can’t write names on here but the practice really need to keep this fella on their payroll 10/10.

Review titled No Results sent to GP
by Garry Bennett - Posted on 09 April 2024
I attended the sleep clinic and they said all the equipment was broken so they gave me a watch type device to wear at night then return to the hospital the following day. Its now 6 months waiting for the results. i chased my GP but they said there has been delays due to a back log but ring the Halton Hospital to chase them up. I have rang 12 times and can never get through it just rings and rings. What am I supposed to do?

Amazing treatment for my autistic husband during his very complicated pre treatment appointment. Went above and beyond by all concerned to ensure he was comfortable and safe during his upcoming procedure. Fabulous communication and went to huge lengths to make sure that his operation could go ahead as planned. We can't thank you enough for your care and consideration.

Review titled Brilliant care
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I am writing about my experience with my 93 year old mum who was transferred to Halton from Warrington last Saturday. The care she received on ward b3 was exemplary. All members of staff were approachable and information about mum’s progress was shared at every visit. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were patient and went ‘ the extra mile’ Mum has moved to Padgate House today after only being on this ward for 5 days but I felt I had to write this review because such a brilliant impression was made in such a short time from the very first day. Thank you all.

Review titled Great Consultation
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Angela Barrett - Posted on 01 April 2023
Visited the centre this afternoon after an online consultation with 111. Got an appointment within 2 hours . Receptionist extremely helpful telling us about free car parking and guided us to the waiting area. Appointment was at 2pm but was seeing 5 minutes earlier . The doctor had the best patient empathy I have experienced . Very thorough . Very understanding. Did not feel the consultation was rushed . My only regret is that I did not get his name . Would love to have someone with half his caring attitude at my Practice. Came away feeling re-assured with a prescription waiting for me at the nominated pharmacy . All in all a 5 star service . Most impressed . Thank you Halton Emergency Care Centre . Many thanks
