  1. Review titled Comfortable and reassuring experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by David Salter - Posted on 16 August 2024

This is the second time in several years that my wife or myself has had cause to attend the Minor Injuries Unit and both times have been received with respect and consideration, and treated most effectively. We are very grateful to the team.

  3. Review titled No where to park

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Ben Kirby - Posted on 31 January 2024

I took my 4 year old for his appointment today. I arrived in good time (luckily) but upon arrival was met with a full car park and many other irritated drivers trying to navigate the narrow roads and force themselves into half spaces. I drove round the hospital and side roads for 20 minutes in endless loops before giving up and having to park a 10 minute walk away in a country road. Once I walked back to the hospital I couldn’t see any pavements so had to walk (with said 4 year old) down one way roads and avoid the said irritated drivers. Stressful.

Very friendly, efficient, reassuring and everywhere very clean and tidy. I didn’t have to wait very long before being dealt with.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Had surgery for removal of a lesion on my face. Excellent service. Staff all very friendly, helpful and professional. Could not have had better service even as a private patient! What a great local facility. Long may it continue.

  6. Review titled Impressed first visit, less so at the second follow up

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 June 2023

First time with a knee injury and skin infection, diagnoses were not explained clearly but treatment was prescribed and provided. X ray staff were efficient and friendly. Nursing staff less so. Asked to return for a review either 48 hours or after a week. Returned after 7 days to be seen by the same nurse who at this visit was abrupt, off hand and left me feeling I was being a nuisance. There was a distinct lack of care at this visit resulting in a very different experience. A different experience because I was apparently taking time and again I was given a very vague explanation. I was asked why I had come. Communication from the nurse was poor and dismissive towards me and my partner. There was a lack of care at this time. I got a brush off with a go see your GP or if necessary ano community hospital MIU. Unhelpful under the circumstances and left us both feeling anxious and lacking in confidence in the vague diagnoses. It’s a great resource if you don’t mind the variable attitude.

  7. Review titled poor practice

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Marianne OBrien - Posted on 08 June 2023

Because of impaired sight, I regularly have my toenails cut at Haslemere Hospital On the last two occasions, the same podiatrist cut my nails, and then found when I got home, that the nails were sharp, ragged, and caught on my socks and sheets, so necessitating half and hour with a nail file. When I asked why she didn’t file along the top of the nail, rather than across, she said “that’s how we’re taught to do it” as she has to wear gloves, she can’t feel the sharpness, and when I complained, she said it was just dry skin!

  8. Review titled Great Service - Welcoming and Efficient

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Richard Bacon - Posted on 03 May 2023

Turned up for a blood test and received a warm welcome from the nurses and the receptionists. I was early for my appointment but they fitted me in seamlessly so I was waiting less than two minutes. The nurses that took the blood were cheerful and chatty and very helpful. Full marks all round. Thank you for a great service.

An excellent experience visiting the practice with no appointment. I was in, processed, treated and out again in under 30 minutes. Couldn't praise them enough. Thanks.
