Review titled Kind and caring
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jane mayhead - Posted on 17 May 2023
Shortly after travelling down from Cheshire to Essex for a family birthday, I was bitten by a farmers dog while unloading the car! After having sat in A&E departments for many hours in the past, I was dreading visiting a Casualty Dept again. But hubby and I found this very modern hospital very easily, stress free parking, friendly receptionist. We were expecting to be hours but we were admitted, seen by a lovely Nurse Practitioner and sorted out within 45 minutes. Able to rejoin the family celebration! So relieved and very impressed. Thank you to all the Staff in the Minor Injuries Department.

I was seen yesterday in orthopaedics by the registrar. My appointment was on time. He was very kind and helpful. After so many cancellations I left the hospital feeling very upbeat and with more confidence about my medical issue.

Review titled Poor service- Toddler
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Erin English - Posted on 21 February 2023
My toddler and I arrived shortly after 9am only to be checked in after 11:30. The nurse eventually saw my toddler at 1.30pm and wasnt too sure what to do about a burn so said they had to make a call to another doctor. At just before 4pm, they put adressing on and told us to visit a different hospital. Shocking they make a toddler wait 7 hours, only to be sent on with no treatment to another hospital.

Review titled Very Efficient Service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Wendy N - Posted on 04 January 2023
I chose to go to the Minor Injuries Department rather than clog up an A&E for an injury to my hand. Within 40 minutes I had been booked in, had an x-ray, was seen by a nurse practitioner who attended to my injury and who also arranged an appointment at Broomfield Hospital for me three days later. All the staff members I encountered were polite, efficient and caring. Thank you.

Review titled Doors don’t open until 08.30
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Catherine - Posted on 05 December 2022
I don’t have to ever use NHS services but when I’ve come to the hospital today to use minor injuries, I’ve had to wait outside in the cold until patients are “allowed” in at 08.30. I’ve been told this is due to hospital policy - I’m unsure why the policy changed, you use to be able to get in from 08.00 and you can see where they have changed the time in pen on the sign. I am young and fit but felt sorry for the elderly people waiting outside - why and who came up with this policy? Completely ridiculous

After 1 hour, 59 min and 59 seconds the call was terminated. Its not easy to listen to that music for 2 hours and than loose the call when your in position 3....
