Review titled Lovely staff and professional experience
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 12 July 2024
I visited the UTC yesterday. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped me. From the reception staff to the medical staff, they were all polite, professional, with a good sense of humour. Despite being very busy, I was still seen within a reasonable length of time and I didn't feel like my time with the staff was rushed. Thank you all for doing such a wonderful job!

Review titled Awful care
Rated 1 star out of 5

I had the unfortunate experience of seeing the advance nurse practitioner today. She completely lacked empathy, was rude from the very minute my son and I walked through the door. Had no care and compassion and no understanding at all of my reasons for attending UTC rather than wasting someone’s time at A&E (which is what the nurse implied I should have done). She also suggested I take my three year old autistic son to sit with me while I attend a&e. Surely she should have the common sense to know that he cannot be present in the room for X-rays and ct scans which she knew I needed. Absolutely terrible, I do not know why people like her are in a caring role. I was so shocked by the way she spoke and patronised me that I burst into tears as soon as I left the building. I will not go there again for treatment. Just to add, the other lady present in the room was very kind to my son and this is review is not directed at her in any way. Reception staff were also lovely.

Review titled Unprofessional

I Went in to get a possible issue looked at. Temperature, key symptoms, pains, worsening and unbearable symptoms were overlooked. It was extremely rushed. My Awful symptoms Got ignored and I got put onto the same medication that didn't work the last time I had this illness (I told them it didn’t work and the symptoms didn’t get any better). I Felt ignored, rushed and not cared for or taken serious despite the serious nature of what I could have. I wish I could avoid the UTC, but it’s my only option.
