  1. Review titled Poor communication

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Janet - Posted on 19 July 2024

This week was the 2nd time I have experienced poor communication from the Juniper. This week I booked a day's leave from work to get my mom (who has mid to late stage dementia) to the clinic for a Dr's appt at 11.30. To get her there on time involves a 3hr operation where I try and coax her out of bed, get her to have breakfast, pills, a wash and brush-up and persuade her to wear clean clothes that she says aren't hers before I even try to get her into the car. I do this and get her to the centre only to be told 'sorry, we left you a message yesterday to say the appt had been cancelled. What? What message? Not to my phone.. the only one that should be registered with you?.. no they sent it to my mom's defunct phone number.. a number that they have been made aware on several occasions is not in use and hasn't been for at least 3yrs! Wasted day off and a day of putting mom through unnecessary angst. Fuming!

I can’t thank you enough for the care I have received during my admission. The staff work very hard and provide excellent care and support.
