  2. Review titled Amazing care!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Diane - Posted on 03 December 2023

I spent 3 months in Nru at Kendry after finding out I had Ms. I was so happy to be here as I knew it was the right place to treat me. From the beginning I was welcomed and I felt safe. I was so scared and I was made to feel less anxious and I could actually sleep (unlike the 2 weeks I spent in BDGH). When I was admitted I couldn’t walk properly and when I left 3 months later I walked over the threshold! I couldn’t have done that if it hadn’t been for the amazing staff. Everyone there was amazing. The nursing staff, the Doctors, the Consultant, the OT’s, the Physios, the housekeepers and the Psychologists. Everyday was a challenge and I was helped by the team. Every day I got stronger and I could see going home being more possible. I am typing this at home and being able to move around my house. Without the amazing Physios I wouldn’t be here now. I can’t thank everyone enough. I still have work to do, but I have left stronger and more patient with myself. Thank you again! I have attached the view from my room, images of my first room before I moved to a large room and food. The food was great and so much choice! I really couldn’t complain! The large rooms were spacious and lots of room for a wheelchair. They are all en-suite with a TV and wardrobe. There are 12 rooms in total. Yes, it might be a hospital, but never felt uncomfortable. The rooms were private and quiet at night.

  5. Review titled Kind, caring, extremely professional!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Brian Ross - Posted on 26 December 2022

I was admitted after a bad fall down some stairs with various physically injuries, especially to my head, and had to spend over a month in Neurological Rehabilitation. I just wanted to say how wonderful my care was from start to finish. The entire staff were incredibly caring and thorough, from management (who kindly took the time to look in on me regularly), the consultants (who explained my condition and treatment plan clearly) the Occupational Therapy staff (who were cheerful and patient!) the general nursing staff, (who were efficient and kind,) and the catering staff, who always provided excellent meals with humour and 'banter.' The whole unit, including the common area and dining area was kept spotlessly clean by the excellent cleaning staff, and my room was always tidy and comfortable. The whole staff made me feel looked after and safe at a very worrying time in my life. Kindness starts at the top, and the management and all of their staff should be thoroughly proud of themselves for the awesome job they are doing. Thank You So Much!
