  1. Review titled Great staff, terrible use of facilities

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 June 2024

I am a community Physiotherapist who recently completed an outreach appointment with my Learning Disability client following a recent lower limb fracture. Reasonable adjustments were not made to ensure this young lady was seen in a timely manner. Staff did there best (providing cold compress and drinks), but due to only 2 rooms being made available for x-ray we were made to wait over 90mins causing agitation to our Learning disability client. With many radiology/x-ray rooms available I just ask why can these not be made functional when times are busy?

  2. Review titled Thorough and caring treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 June 2024

I recently visited Kent and Canterbury hospital for a Mammogram and Ultrasound, which resulted in me having to have biopsy's taken. I cannot fault the department right from the Reception desk where the waiting room is, to the person who carried out the Mammogram, the person who performed the ultrasound and then the biopsy process along with an assistant. I felt comforted and had everything explained fully throughout.

  4. Review titled Toilets in outpatients

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 June 2024

Recently the toilets near physiotherapy have been made unavailable to patients and visitors where previously we could use them. This leaves just 1 disabled mens toilet and 1 disabled ladies toilet in that area for visitors to use. This has proven extremely difficult for me as I attend weekly to outpatients and often need the toilet frequently. There is always a queue for the one ladies toilet and it's too far to walk to the other toilets near the canteen. Please can we be given access again to the toilets just behind outpatients reception physiotherapy Canterbury hospital

  6. Review titled Rheumatology

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Matthew Wratten - Posted on 08 May 2024

The Nurse specialist in Rheumatology has been exceptional and extremely proactive in trying to improve my current health condition. I have not included her name but my records will indicate who I am talking about. I want this to be brought to the attention of her line manager as she us an absolute credit to Nursing. I am very grateful for her caring and thoughtful approach to my care. Her communication style is always excellent and her attention to detail is exceptional. She is very trustworthy and always does exactly what she says she will do. She is an excellent ambassador for Rheumatology and the wider NHS.

  10. Review titled No fuss prostate biopsy

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Steve Penny - Posted on 16 May 2024

Had a prostate biopsy. Blurb sent out with my appointment letter, along with what I had read on the internet, had me not looking forward to the biopsy. However, the actual experience was far less traumatic than I expected. While it was the 30-45 minute procedure the blurb suggested, it was only 10 minutes on the table. The whole process was: urine sample given, flow test done, quick 'do I want to ask any questions', then skilled, no nonsense doc and nurse got on with it. The procedure itself is not painful, but the deeper local anaesthetic injections (two) were noticeable. After that, a breeze. Felt a bit of pushing and pulling down below, bit light headed after, and a little blood in urine, but felt very taken care of by caring nursing team. Positive experience all round.
