    I was admitted to Ward 31 Leicester General Hospital for a surgical procedure and was extremely impressed by the high level of care I received. All staff I came into contact with were polite, helpful, knowledgeable, caring and kind. They clearly have to work in conditions where recourses are limited and they are busy in their individual and team roles but they were exemplary in the level of care they delivered. I managed to express my thanks to a couple of staff on discharge and they both said that it really boosts morale to receive good feedback so please do ensure they all receive this! I noticed that at the end of each shift it seemed customary to thank their colleagues for a good shift which again seemed a really positive gesture. Well done Ward 31!!!! Just to add that leading up to my procedure, my experiences at Out Patients were also very positive. Amazing care and level of practice in such difficult times. Thank you everyone.

    I had an afternoon appointment today 29.09.2022, at the mobile unit (accessed next to car park 2.) The unit is modern, clean and purpose built. Staff were superb throughout, from the nurse taking details and blood pressure etc, to the ones carrying out the procedure and with aftercare.. I was fully involved with every step and care was taken to end sure my full understanding. I was always treated courteously and with respect and good humour. An endoscopy is not the most pleasant of experiences but the staff did everything they possibly could to make things easier. They were professional kind and caring. They are a credit to the LGH Unit. Thank you.

    I received a cancellation letter changing my appointment to see the consultant from 11.30am to 3.50pm on 1st August. When I arrived I was told it had been cancelled to 10th October, I had not received a letter in writing. Got told I was contacted by phone x1 last week which I did not answer as I work shifts, no voicemail left. It would have been from an unknown number. I was told a letter wasn't sent as it would have not arrived in time. I have paid £3 car parking, changed shifts at work and completed a 45 minute trip to get here, as I do not live locally. This is extremely frustrating and very poor communication from the clinic booking service.

    I would like to thank everyone involved with ward 14, the Nursing staff, doctors, and all the supporting staff who made my stay on their ward following my hip replacement excellent, it could not have been better, and far exceeded my expectations as nothing was ever too much trouble for anyone. I would also like to thank my Orthopaedic Surgeon, and all the supporting doctors who replaced my old hip, and the new hip is absolutely wonderful and I am so pleased that I am now pain free and progressing very well thanks to the excellent advice and exercise regimes from all the Physiotherapists, and Occupational Therapists.

    My experience from start to continued support is outstanding😊 The entire team and process has been so supportive, it is obvious this tight knit group of dedicated staff are there to make your entire experience as homely and safe anyone can provide. I am so lucky they have been my healthcare team who I know will support me throughout my treatment over and beyond. Thank you all for your human approach, your ability to acknowledge and recognise the situation your presented with on a day to day basis. You are truly wonderful, caring people and I thank you so much for caring for anyone who needs support. You are beyond the best😊 Keep eating the "Jelly Babies" 😊😊😊😊😊😊
