I have had several terrible experiances with nhs recently including an ongoing serious complaint. It was therefore an absolute joy and bought back faith in our health service coming to radiology. I was reffered by gp in the morning and turned up after lunch at glenfield hospital, from the first person i spoke to at reception to staff in the general area of radiology to the radiologist themselves each and everyone of them were polite and helpful. And on top of your excellent staff i was in the building less than 30 mins and left thinking that was more efficent and plesant than any pvt healthcare money could buy. Please pass on my thanks and respect to your outstanding staff in the glenfield radiology department

I visited Leicester General Hospital today for an out patients appointment. Every single member of the hospital staff I met were friendly, helpful and extremely efficient. What a great team of people. Well done/

My face to face appointment for 4pm today was intercepted at 3pm by the consultant, apologising for the early telephone consultation. I pointed out that I would be attending my pre-arranged appointment at Neurology (by letter) at 4pm but this was ignored, with an apparent lack of knowledge of said appointment. I have suffered my condition for over two years, with a prescribed medication from day one. The consultant did not listen to my concerns, but insisted I increase my dosage based on my conditions history - a history this particular consultant seemed to know little about. At worst I feel nothing has been achieved... Also taking a day off work for this appointment adds to my disappointment. Sadly, it is nothing less than a total disgrace. Please do not reply with apologies for clerical errors or shortages elsewhere, it will not wash.

Attended for a proctogram in Radiology..waiting area c. If I'm honest I can think of better days out but there we are!! However the staff were amazing, friendly, efficient, good humoured and kind throughout. The doctor was incredibly thorough, kind and considerate explaining the procedure before hand and throughout. Appointment ran like clockwork. Fabulous team and positive experience.

I was diagnosed with parkinsons in November. I had gone to the appointment alone and was told by the consultant I had 'a parkinsons look' and after some motor skills tests the consultant confirmed it. He gave me no hope and simply said it was inevitable that it would progress. The after care was 'pick up a leaflet on the way out'. Six months later I saw the parkinsons nurse who was brilliant! She gave me lots of encouragement and support as I've chosen not to take any medication at the moment. She made me feel like my life really isn't over yet. And she got me a new consultant

The sleep clinic have provided me with first class care for years, however, the lack of any sense of professional service when it comes to answering telephone calls is non existent. Having tried many times to get someone to answer a phone I have decided to make a 20 mile round trip on the off chance that someone maybe at home, eT had a better chance of getting a response. If you don’t have time to answer a ringing phone have it taken out. A frustrated service user

Review titled Hysteroscopy with spinal block

I was brought into LGH for a Hysteroscopy, Biopsy and to have a coil inserted with an overnight stay due to it all being done under a spinal block. From the moment I walked through the door they were ready for me. Every single member of staff from porters, receptionists, healthcare assistants, nurses, student midwives, catering and Dr's were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble, everyone seemed to genuinely want to help and to enjoy their work and they made me feel so comfortable in what could've been embarrassing situations. I was given pain relief to keep on top of any pain and medication for nausea, the place was spotless and the theatre team wonderful even with a difficult spinal to do. I would not hesitate to recommend or return if needed; thank you everyone who cared for me.
