  1. Review titled Ward 8 are fantastic.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended ward 8 due to some issues. I wish I could name the doctor and nurse who attended to me during my time here because they were amazing. They were both so kind, compassionate and caring whilst I was there, the nurse was very gentle whilst taking bloods. They are both a credit to ward 8!

  3. Review titled Wonderful

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had to come in with my ill grandmother, via Ambulance. From dialing 999 it took 20 minutes at the most for the Ambulance to arrive. The Paramedics where very kind, supportive and compassionate. Upon arrival the process was efficient with out feeling pushed around, whilst also being impressed with the level of cleanliness. We were provided with sandwiches, soup and the best cup of tea by the Health care assistant. My grandmother was cared for quickly with great level of care by the nurse which was appreciated greatly considering the situation. from that point on every member of staff showed the same consistent level of Outstanding care. From consultants, to nurses, porters, health care assistants plus the lady from House keeping had a wonderfully soothing singing voice while she did her rounds. This all added to the feeling of a positive, friendly caring and efficient environment to receive serious care. Absolutely excellent

  4. Review titled Very compassionate staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My mum was taken in via ambulance last night we found the care offered exceeded our expectations and was very caring and thorough. Had recent experience of my aunties care at Salisbury which was dirty and diabolical I know the LRI receives negative comments but based on our experience this is not deserved I cannot rate the paramedics highly enough either Thank you

  5. Review titled Excellent level of service received.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My son fractured his arm while at school, totally unexpected. I had to rushed from work to collect him from school and then take him straight to the children’s a&e. They prioritised him as his hand was deformed. I was completely shocked by the level of care received. Completely outstanding. They had to stretch the hand out using gas and air and put it into a cast. My son’s only 12. He was put at ease throughout the whole process. You hear a lot of negative things about the hospital. However when you need it. It’s there ready to help you. I can’t thank the staff enough for the treatment received. Plus I don’t often leave reviews. However on this occasion I thought it was warranted. Thank you to the Children’s a&e team.

  6. Review titled Undeniably terrible experience.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Victoria - Posted on 28 June 2024

Undeniably terrible experience. Waited here 7 hours (9pm to 4am) with my 3 year old before giving up and leaving to just go back home. Patients that arrived hours after us were considered ‘priority’ and were called back to see the doctor before my son. No excuses for this! Why was my son’s condition not taken seriously? Is my child not a priority to the NHS? It’s a shame. He vomited over 20x in 1 day and could not keep even water down but even a sprained ankle was more urgent. 2 days later and my son is still unwell but there is no reliability in the NHS. I have been left with no where to turn to.

  7. Review titled Minor Eye Surgery at Eye Clinic

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was seen today by two specialist nurses who carried out my eye surgery. They were kind, reassuring, explained the process well and very competent and skilled. Thank you to both ladies for your excellent care.

  8. Review titled Phone called never answered

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 June 2024

Dealing with an ongoing referral with the Gynaecology dept, trying to call to get a test result and chase up a referral to radiology for a scan which should have already been done but yet they have nothing for me. I have tried multiple numbers for the medical secretary's and no one ever answers, I literally try calling every 10 mins for days. Not good when people are going through a stressful time trying to conceive which then the stress of this is not helping and we have time against us. Awful and very upsetting.

  9. Review titled Rubbish system and unacceptable wait time

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 June 2024

I called 111 because my son contracted measles from the last visit at lri A& E. I was given a letter together with what they have done at urgent care and I was told that he'll be in priority because his illness is contagious. It is just illogical that nurses had do repeat everything. We arrived here at 7:30pm and we're still in the same room where they put us in without any doctors came in since we arrived. It is really ridiculous that this big hospital got no doctors. Lacking compassion with the patient.

  10. Review titled Hearing Services

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Susie - Posted on 06 June 2024

I was given an appointment of 8.45am after callling yesterday to report my hearing aids were not working. We arrived on time and we’re taken straight through to doctor, where I was fitted with 2 new aids which were tuned to suit my particular hearing loss. This an absolutely fantastic service and the staff we saw were brilliant. I am so grateful as being without aids is awful. Many thanks.
