I have attended the prosser white department on quite a few occasions, I am always impressed with the treatment I have recieved. I was seen exactly on my appointment time, the sister who's clinic I attended was caring, efficient and informative. I myself have worked within the NHS for many years and its very pleasing and reassuring to see the such a good, professional service. Well done and thankyou for always going the extra mile

Review titled Great place for urgent care
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Leigh Infirmaries urgent care centre is a great place to go if you are having any medical trouble which needs to be solved urgently. The waiting times are at 5 times faster than that of any other hospitals a&e. I went in with problems about my ears and was seen very quickly. The staff were very kind throughout and listened to me when I explained what was wrong with my ears without interrupting. They checked for other symptoms that I didnt notice I had. Before giving me medication for my problem, they made a check to see if it would have any issues with the other medication I take. Furthermore, they gave me advice on how to avoid having such problems in the future.

Review titled Constant Misinformation
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Christina - Posted on 12 August 2024
Referred by another department as urgent, Gynae advised they didn't think the referral was for them so sent elsewhere.. two days of chasing and found it to be in the right place, (returned to Gynae) chased Gynae to be told extremely abruptly "you haven't been seen here yet so you are not our patient and have no business ringing us yet as you are not our patient if you haven't been here" Surely being referred to you makes me your patient and there is such thing as care within the NHS for patients who have had worrying test results hence the referral in the first place! The original referring department have assured me numerous times that the referral has been sent as Urgent and have chased on my behalf. However in the last three working days I have been told that I haven't been triaged, it isn't urgent, it is urgent, its triaged as routine and will be seen in 12-18months, back to its never been triaged at all. This is my second dealing with this department in 2years and so far I have nothing positive to say.

Review titled Welcoming, supportive, very caring
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Went for my endoscopy today, was very nervous about having it but the nurses put me at rest. From the reception greeting right through to the recovery were excellent. The 3 ladies that did the procedure were brilliant, made me feel relaxed and explained everything to me. The aftercare nurse was also excellent with all her patients, looking after us all on the ward. The environment was organised, calming, clean and not too busy. Would highly recommend.

Review titled Great practice

I came yo A&E this morning. I sprained my ankle but pain was intense 😫 I couldn't not put my foot down. I was assessed and the porter took me to xray. I waited for 30 minutes to find out that I had a fracture. A boot was given me and the nurse showed me how to use the cruches. Advice was printed out for after care abd that arrangement would be made for another appointment with fracture unit. A huge 👏 thank you to all staff members for your help.

Review titled Car Parking
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Disgruntled patient's partner! - Posted on 12 April 2024
Terrible experience, the overly-aggressive Security guy told me to move my car immediately, as it was allegedly causing an obstruction, even though it clearly wasn't. I tried to explain that my wife is a Blue Badge holder and is really struggling with her mobility, she has MS and recently had a full hip replacement, but he shut me down and refused to listen! By law, a Blue Badge holder can park on double-yellow lines, as long as it's not causing an obstruction. There was no parking close to the entrance to the hospital, the main carpark is closed, there is zero signage and the hospital have clearly not prioritised disabled people, which is discrimination and not the way to treat vulnerable people! My mum, who has dementia was in the car and was very confused by all the unnecessary drama and commotion. A Hospital Manager rolled up in his Range Rover, told me to shift my car otherwise it would be clamped! Not a nice experience.
