  1. Review titled exceptional, excellent and exemplary

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 December 2022

During time at The rehab unit at Leigh the care was exceptional, excellent and exemplary. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They got to know me; they knew who family members were; they kept family informed regularly; they were appropriate in what they suggested; they listened to mine & my families concerns about returning home again; they made sure that i was dressed and took part in activities to ease my boredom; they were incredibly helpful in arranging a medical appointment and were happy to assist in a last minute change to this plan due to my mobility on the day. And they did all this with smiles on their faces! What a refreshing difference some other care I received recently. My discharge was seamless and family were kept informed at all times of the process. Thank you.

  2. Review titled Attended Hanover Endoscopy

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Gillian Mills - Posted on 09 August 2022

I went on Sunday the 7th August for an Endoscopy & an Colonoscopy. The staff were fab & they took the time to explain everything to me. I was seen within 4 days of speaking to my GP. I was worried about it. These people who work for the NHS are wonderful. They really are. All I can say is thank you NHS. Xx

  3. Review titled Disability awareness

    by GordonE1234 - Posted on 18 August 2022

I attended Leigh Urgent Treatment Centre at Leigh Infirmary after having some dehydration/tonsil issues and I was treated with respect by the secretary/administrator who processed my admission and asked me why I wasn't wearing a face-mask and when confirmed it was due to my disability, she was very understanding and appreciative. Another staff member who saw me though had no understanding of autism or why people with autism may find face-masks claustrophobic and I would be grateful if the NHS trust could make sure staff at the centre are aware of why people with mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders cannot wear face masks and exemption isn't just due to physical disability and there is a learning point for this admission.
