The call I received today from The Endocrinology Dept. was on the dot of time as I was informed. I was given clear, easy to understand information which I really appreciate

Rated 3 stars out of 5

When we arrived there were 4 children in the waiting room and we waited more than 3 hours to see a doctor. The waiting time was too long considering there wasn’t a busy time at all.

I recently had difficulty accessing the patient hub because I don’t have a Smart Phone. I contacted the communication team and had a an excellent response which helped me access the hub. The officer who assisted was very efficient and quick to respond.

I tried to talk to the Cardiology department regarding appointments. When i phoned the number 01707 247512 the message said she was on holiday and to call 01438 284444. I did this and was told i was number 28 in the queue, I gave up.

  5. Review titled Amazing service from A&E

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Carpenter - Posted on 07 July 2024

I took my son who had severe chest pains and had a brilliant service from the excellent health professionals at the A&E dept. We were lucky that the section of the unit we were at, wasn't too busy when we arrived and he was triaged fairly quickly and pain relief administered. It was quickly decided by the team for steroid and nebuliser treatment, this was followed by a complete health check which included bloods, chest xray and antibiotics. Though it was a long wait for results and ongoing treatment plan to be finalised, before being discharged, the care and assurances from all the staff was beyond amazing and helped my son relax in what was initially a stressful situation for him.

  6. Review titled Great hospital

I called 111, had a lovely call handler. Received a call back within 5 minutes. They booked me in to be seen within the hour. (I did not know which hospital would be closest as I was away from home, the lovely call handler stated she lives not far from where I was staying and recommended Lister as it is closer). From arriving, to being seen, I was in and out of the hospital within 20 minutes. Amazing service all around, thank you for everything you do!

  8. Review titled Absolutely amazing

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My son is autistic, adhd and has pathological demand avoidance. He had to come in to Lister for dental surgery and was absolutely amazed at the level of care not just towards my son but for us as parents too. From the moment we came in to the moment we left we were treated like we were the only patients in the hospital. Nothing was too much, they explained things in a way that we got all the correct information but read the situation when my son was there listening and took his feelings and anxiety in to consideration. The staff on the day surgery unit were incredibly professional and supportive. The staff all worked well together and were a great team. I honestly cannot thank you all enough.

  9. Review titled Wonderful staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had to visit A&E with my very unwell child. Despite the department obviously being busy, my child saw a doctor and began treatment straight away. Staff were attentive, even offering me cups of tea. I felt my child was well cared for. The Bluebell Ward was also great.

  10. Review titled Fantastic practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was referred to lister hospital emergency care team by another hospital as had just been diagnosed with diabetes.Everyone was so friendly from a and, sdec ward and the two lovely diabetic nurses that came to see me to teach me about how to do injections and all the information. The hospital was so clean, everyone was so friendly and always took the time to introduce themselves to me and ask how I was and make sure I was comfortable at what was a worrying time realising I was insulin dependent. The diabetes outpatients team have also been amazing inviting me in for reviews , replying to emails and phone calls. Thank you again.
