Review titled Wonderful staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Veronica Fraser - Posted on 19 February 2025
Referred by GP to A&E and by them for surgery to drain an abscess the following morning. Everyone, from Admission to Discharge, that I came into contact with was helpful, attentive, caring and professional even though I could see they were very busy and fully stretched. You have staff you can be really proud of. This morning I received a phone call to check if I needed any practical support.

Review titled Excellent Service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Stephen Mellersh - Posted on 12 February 2025
Arriving at the oncology department, the reception staff helpfully mentioned that the consultant was running a bit late. Soon the consultant in her consulting room dealt with me in her usual straightforward & kindly way. I needed medication, and the obviously busy hospital pharmacy produced the varied medications efficiently in about an hour, when they ensured that I understood what I was taking. Everyone I dealt with at the Lister Hospital over a couple of hours was helpful & efficient.

Review titled Faultless and professional. Superb service.

Having a small surgical procedure always causes a small amount of concern. However, my experience recently, was as close to perfect as it is possible to get. I was greeted and forms were filled out, and l was invited into the small surgical area. The 3-person team were friendly and we chatted and laughed about various subjects. The surgery itself, was carried out with the utmost care, professionalism and concern for my comfort. For those of you reading these reviews because you are feeling anxious, please take it from me, the people that l have met in my two visits to 'Plastics' have done everything possible, to put me at my ease, and to carry out the procedure, whilst keeping me, as comfortable as possible.. My sincerest thanks to the whole team.

Review titled Trying to contact someone to change my appointment
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Linda Aldous - Posted on 28 February 2025
I recently had an appointment to see a gastroenterologist, the appointment was on the 14th of February and I was not able to attend on this day, so l thought the easiest thing would be to phone on the number given on my letter, but every time I phoned it just rang and rang nobody picked it up. This went on every day I tried at different times of the day but no one picked the phone up. This is the reason I didn’t attend the clinic. I am sure there must be many other patients who have had the same problem. Perhaps another line might help or an answer phone so at least patients can leave a message.

Review titled A really professional practise
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Alan Barry Vick - Posted on 08 January 2025
I was seen by a doctor within an hour on arriving. A painless experience with all nursing staff and another lady doctor, so experienced, and made feel very so comfortable with my operation on my left eye, facing them while they did their work. I was discharged within two hours. Brilliant

Review titled Cardioversion
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I recently attended Lister Hospital for cardioversion. From the pre clinic calls to the end of the procedure I found the staff and the process informative and supportive. On the day of the procedure the staff were friendly and caring and could not have been better. The information I was given was clear so I understood the process and the risks an I felt listened to all the way through. Thank you for your care and dedication.

Review titled Appointment problems

I was told my 2 year old had a heart murmur at birth had tests and it was goine then at an allergy appointment I was told it was not gone . He was referred back in Oct and I'm still yet to have an appointment nor can I speak to anyone on the appointment line. I call at 9am most days and I am eventually cut off when I hit 4ish in the que call back and I'm 20+ in the que . I received a letter with an appointment in June but there is no info as to what it's regarding. Booking appointment and getting appointment information needs huge improvement.

My experience has always been very pleasant I was seen in July of 2024 and was referred to Moorfields’s eye hospital and now back with lister and I can honestly say that lister are just as amazing as moorfields. Having my operation there in March I feel confident although a little anxious that all should go well

Review titled Wonderful, caring staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anthea - Posted on 06 January 2025
I arrived at Lister at the radiology department, where I realised I should have been at the QEII. The wonderful receptionist called ultrasound and arranged for the staff there to scan me instead. In the ultrasound section, the receptionist was kind and helpful, and the staff carrying out the scan were kind, respectful and took care to explain everything that was going on. I would really like to recognise their professionalism and efforts to accommodate me, even though I’d made a mistake in arriving at Lister.
