I have been attended in another care unit for my infusion, arrived at 7 30 am as per appointment, seen at 10.30 buy a nurse, review by a junior doctor at12.30, cannula in at 13.00 amd infusion didnt start yet. Ms practice at nhnn is fundamentally useless. Doctors that wanmore money?! Go to work!

  2. Review titled The most amazing hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Outstanding Care at NHNN My dad was recently seen at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN), and I can't express how amazing the staff were. The level of care and dedication we experienced was truly exceptional. The nurses were incredible; nothing was ever too much for them. They went above and beyond to ensure my dad was comfortable and well taken care of, always with a friendly and professional demeanour. The surgeons and doctors were equally incredible. Their expertise and attention to detail gave us immense confidence and reassurance throughout the entire process. Their commitment to my dad's health and recovery was evident in every interaction. From start to finish, the whole experience couldn't have been better. We feel so fortunate to have been seen at such an incredible hospital. NHNN is truly a beacon of excellence in healthcare, and we are deeply grateful for the exceptional care provided.

  3. Review titled Gami Knife Surgery

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I received Gami Knife Surgery at this amazing hospital. We arrived at 7,15 in the morning. From my consultant to the team in the Gami Knife department, you are amazing at keeping patients calm and relaxed. I was a nervous wreck, especially having the frame, fitted especially as I have a needle phobia. We were back at the hotel by 1.15 as we had the hotel room until 3 pm.

  4. Review titled Brilliant!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I received Gamma Knife Radiosurgery today. Arrived at 7am, staff were extremely professional and caring. My whole experience from being fitted with the head frame then to the MRI scanner and back to a private comfortable room then into the Gamma knife radiation machine was very smooth and the staff were just brilliant! Very well oiled machine!! Thank you NHNN! You’re all amazing!

  5. Review titled Declining standards

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I have been a patient at this hospital for over 20 years, in this time I’ve had mostly great treatment and support, but in the last few years it has worsened, a bit like my MS. I have been trying to speak to an mS nurse and my consultant for 10 days now. No telephone line is answered or it’s a recorded message stating you need to email, if you can even find the number (don’t bother looking as it’s not worth the effort), no one gets back to emails and it is a frustrating experience. Having used and still use other services at the National and have amazing professional and caring support/treatment, I really don’t understand why the MS department is so abysmal. At least provide a receptionist to answer calls, again other departments do. As the other reviewers of the MS service state, and following years of experiencing good or exceptionally good practice, this is not acceptable and very sad.

  6. Review titled The care I was given here was truly exceptional.

    by Chris2304 - Posted on 29 September 2023

I had a stroke in August 2023 which left me paralysed down the right side of my body. After spending 2 weeks at the Queen Square and Royal Free hospital I was transferred to the neurological rehab unit at Edgeware Community hospital. The care I was given here was truly exceptional. The skill and patience of the physios was excellent and I could see significant improvement every day. By the end of my 5 week stay I was able to walk again without using a stick. The facilities are good and the nursing team were also fantastic - very attentive and caring.

  7. Review titled Amazing Care and Understanding

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Mandy C - Posted on 13 April 2023

I had to come to your hospital for removal of pituitary tumour and stay on the Victor Horsley Ward. I want to say thank you to the consultants/surgeons and theatre staff for my care and success of the operation. I also want to thank the staff on the ward, the endocrine team and the staff taking my daily blood samples. You all made my stay with you bearable especially as my home was over 200 miles away. So a massive thank you for the care, understanding and being kind to me, I will not forget you and the dedication you gave to me. You are all heroes in my eyes, and exceptional in your roles.

  8. Review titled No Access to Ward/ Department

Rated 1 star out of 5

Needed access and advice to MS Nursing team or someone from the Neurologist Team. Tried contacting via phone/email due to concerns of patient and the adverse side effects they have experienced. Left messages, tried to go through switchboard, but they were unsuccessful also in trying to get the call connected, upon connection the line would be cut off or the answerphone messages would state there is no staff there to man the reception of those departments. From the onset, there was always reassurance that if there were concerns about the patient or their treatment that help was at hand. However, this has proven very challenging and very frustrating. Leaving things in limbo. This is not acceptable.
