My brother was admitted to A and E following a fall at his care home. He is a stroke victim with very limited mobility. When myself and my husband went to visit him he was in a cubicle and was on a drip as he was badly dehydrated. He had been given two X rays to check for fractures-fortunately he had sustained none. Because of his dehydration he was very uncomfortable and very uncooperative. The nursing staff were however very patient with him as were the doctors who came to see him(You ve asked that people should not be named but they were on duty on the afternoon of Thursday 29th December) Throughout their contact with him they showed compassion and respect and made sure that we were kept informed of what was happening to him. When we saw him the next day he was much better having been rehydrated. I found everyone from the doctors to the nursing staff to the administrative staff all efficient and helpful and this was despite the fact that they were extremely busy at the time. My brother is now in Ward 17 where he will hopefully have some physiotherapy before being discharged. I was really impressed by the service at New Cross

I spent 8 hours in a+e after being referred by my g.p. due to breathing difficulties. On arrival, we were quite a way from a+e, and two non nursing members of staff found a wheel chair and pushed me all the way to main reception a+e. All members of staff, Receptionists, nurses, radiographers Doctors, all made sure I arrived at the correct department. The department was very busy, but I was informed of any delays. The n.h.s. at its best.

My 87 year old husband was admitted 29th October a/e gave super care not only of him but also cared for me ITU the same excellent care ward a 14 I will never forget their kindness when things look bleak thank you for the care to both of us and you have him back to me I have known him for 63 year keep up the excellent work love you all

I was given 4 weeks of radiotherapy for prostrate cancer and I can only say the service I received was very professional. I was very nervous at first but the staff were all kind and caring and very considerate. They showed empathy towards me. I don’t think I have ever come across a hospital department were all of the staff were so smartly dressed and the everywhere was spotlessly clean. That you also very much.

Having been admitted as an emergency on to the cardio ward, i was very well cared for on arrival right through to my discharge home ( about 1week after surgery) Staff were patient with a very scared me and did their best to be understanding and supportive. I found the Cardio dept to be clean and kept clean through the day, the catering team bringing regular refreshments and friendly. The surgeon and his cardio team are a friendly yet professional bunch. I was informed of what would be happening before, during & after my operation. My opinions were listened to and taken into consideration . After my operation and returned to ICU , work on my recovery began immediately, although intense it’s for the best. This hospital made me feel well looked after, valued . I would totally recommend using it.

When i had my triple bypass in December 22 I could not thank staff and surgeon enough looked after really well

My mother had a stay in new cross at the beginning of november . It started off with a very long wait in accident and emergency, she was there for almost 20 hours. However once moved to the ward her experience was much better. She was admitted to ward c17. What a friendly bunch they are! Everyone from the cleaner to the manager, and the doctors went above and beyond. You can see how hard they are all working. My mother had nothing but praise for them all. Thank you for making her stay comfortable and for the care she received.

Went to Cannock Hospital for an injection in my hip the staff that i had were all very informative and helpful and all introduced themselves which was very nice as i was quite nervous . would recommend the service i received had two drinks while i was there after injection went into recovery and they were very nice and helped me never leaving me all in all a good experience

I have just spent a day in A&E with my sister-in-law who is 79. She was in pain, vomiting and other symptoms too. Both the Doctor and nurse in charge of her treatment were excellent. I wish I could name them. The Doctor was very thorough and even got a lovely lady Doctor from Urology to come down to check findings. Appointments are being made for follow ups to treatment. Thank you for sorting her out and sending her back home feeling so much better. You are all angels.

I had 20 sessions of radiotherapy.The care I received during my treatment was wonderful.All the staff at the hospital were friendly,and highly trained.I can't praise these dedicated people enough.They made my treatment sessions so easy.thank you.
