I had to have a chest X-ray this morning- simple walk-in clinic at New QE2 hospital. Waited under 5 minutes to be called in and seen. Extremely impressed with the process and all staff - thanks to everyone involved.

  2. Review titled Couldn’t have asked for more

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Staff couldn’t have been more patient, considerate and kind on my visit to the breast clinic today. From start to finish everything was explained clearly to me and I was treated with nothing but compassion by the wonderful staff- from reception staff to specialists. A clean, peaceful environment which was calming and welcoming, with a fabulous coffee shop too!

  4. Review titled Wasted resources, paper pushers and laziness!

Rated 1 star out of 5

I was sent to do an Xray. I was waiting on sitting area was called to say we wont do your X Ray because if there is a fracture we can not treat you or wait for ambulance. I did not asked treatment but a diagnosis...so with Xray equipment 5m from home had to come to Lister with my 26y. Autistic son...trains , cabs, stairs..its not that NHS does not have resources its how they are managed...biggest mistake instead of promissing new hospitals closing QE II was a big mistake! And some people should not be allowed to work in a hospital!

  5. Review titled Pleasant experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Easy to find, parking was free on the day I visited(amazing!!!) and despite the appointments running late, I was made to feel very comfortable, all the staff were helpful, nurses explained everything and the consultant took the time to go through options. This coupled with a lovely cafe and beautiful garden whilst waiting for my prescription, made the experience therapeutic.

  6. Review titled Neglect to children

Rated 1 star out of 5

Have waited 5 hrs to be seen. Diabolical services adults being seen quicker than ill children. My daughter been sat in pain for this long everytime I asked how long the wait is goes down then goes back up again. Something needs to change this is absolutely diabolical services for children.

  7. Review titled Amazing customer service!

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Lauren - Posted on 13 May 2024

I needed to pick up my prescription from the pharmacy and it was a fantastic experience! The gentleman behind the counter was very kind, polite and explained everything to me (more than what I was initially told at an appointment). He was a pleasure to speak to and made me feel like a person and not a number. Thank you so much!

  8. Review titled Very good service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Lesley - Posted on 09 May 2024

Although I was told there was a 4 hour wait I was seen in just under 2 hours. Fair enough, it was busy. The practitioner I saw was very efficient and quickly dealt with my injury. Explained exactly what he was doing and what would happen going forward.

  9. Review titled Terrible Maternity Experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Sophie - Posted on 14 May 2024

My experience at the New QEII Hospital has really shaken my faith in the maternity care I will receive in East Herts and I have started actively looking at moving to another trust for the rest of my maternity care. The communication from staff during both my visits was severely lacking. At my first appointment I was told I was rhesus negative and when I asked for further details of what this meant I was told I needed to wait for a leaflet in the post to explain the condition (it never arrived). I was also told a nuchal test could not be performed and that I would have to have a Quad test, at no point was I told this is a very inaccurate test. On two instances I was not provided with key medical information which caused unnecessary anxiety, I then had to research this medical information myself. My due date was also changed without my consent and the sonographer refused to discuss this despite me expressing distress at this news. My community midwife later informed me I should have been offered an appointment with a Consultant to discuss this as I am pregnant due to IVF. I found the attitude of staff members to be dismissive and unprofessional. Instead of feeling supported and reassured, I often felt disregarded and ignored. Every patient deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, especially during such vulnerable moments. When at my second appointment I expressed my frustration that the midwife had refused to explain what being rhesus negative meant, she first ignored my concerns, then asked my husband if I was telling the truth and then finally said it was my fault for not asking enough questions on the condition. A lack of personalised care was evident throughout my time at the hospital. It felt as though I was just another number in a system rather than an individual with unique needs and concerns. Maternity care should be tailored to each patient's specific circumstances, and this aspect was sorely lacking during my stay.

  10. Review titled Really good experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Robert Brown - Posted on 24 May 2024

I attended Radiology at QE2 for a CAT scan requested by my Oncologist My appointment was for 09 50, but I arrived far too early. The pleasant receptionist readily booked me in and asked me to sit and wait. I didn't have time wait as I was called after only a few minutes. I had canula fitted and in no time at all I was scanned. The four staff members that attended to me (three medical staff and the receptionist) could not have been more helpful and friendly, and I was on my way home before it was even the original appointment time. I used the toilet facilities which were spotless, and the car park was free!
