The treatment and service I have received at the clinic was excellent from start to finish. From making the appointment to attending the clinic to the treatment. Thank you to all the Staff for being so efficient and caring.

Review titled Efficient and caring.
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Patrick Moynihan - Posted on 08 March 2025
Having had a fracture of my jaw, the A&E procedure, though understandably slow, did all they could to manage my pain and stress. I was eventually admitted for surgery, which, due to hospital workload, was delayed for 3 days. But in that time whilst in Dilham Ward, every team on every shift couldn't do enough to keep me comfortable and out of pain. I was alert enough to see the staff always working hard with a very calm and friendly approach to every patient. I can honestly say that I felt the care I received was way above my expectations.

Review titled Cancelled my urgent appointment
by David Andrew O'Donnell - Posted on 19 March 2025
I had a message on 19.03.25 at 07.00, that i didn't see until 08.15, saying Urology had an appointment available at 09.20 & can I call to accept this, of course I did as its urgent I get seen, I drove over to N & N, in rush hr traffic with 10 mins to spare, but after trying to park in 2 areas, I ended up in the multistorey on the 3rd level.. now it's 09.29, I'm late, so i call the receptionist i spoke to earlier to let her know I'm still about 5 mins walk away, she said it's OK I'll call Urology & let them know your here, as it was a last minute appointment.. so I arrive at the dept & then have a conversation with this reception & them telling me, no I'm not booked in today, it was just a call to confirm that appointment.. i tell her shes wrong, it's a message to come in today.. so after a few calls, im told ok we can fit you in, about 10.40 I get called in to see a Dr, we had a chat, i dropped my pants, he has a feel, then tells me he'll book me for an urgent appointment... that's what I was there for... so basically wasted my time & a Dr's time.. i arrive home & see 2 messages on the NHS App @12.20. Informing me of the 09.20 appointment on 19.03.25.. & cancelled the original appointment on 25.03.25.. the 2nd message @12.21 informing me of an appointment on 25.03.25 @ 09.20.. .. so I now will have to call tomorrow (20.03.25) to see what's happening and if I've now lost that appointment, as due to my Dr's I'm already some 25 days since I was last seen in a walk in centre with blood passing out of my penis & them telling my Dr's to urgently request a hospital visit to find out where it's coming from.. .. but now rush, I'll just carry on with the severe pains & keep taking the meds..

Review titled Superb Care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Brian Winchester - Posted on 12 December 2024
I attended on the 12th December at the urgent request of an arrythmia nurse re my pacemaker. On arrival the team knew I was coming, I was immediately shown to a bed and a number of tests (temperature, weight, bloods, blood pressure and ECG) were taken. Two registrars examined the leads to my pacemaker and later a consultant. The treatments were fully explained and all my questions were fully answered. As it happens there was no need for a further stay following the examination and I was allowed home. The overall care left absolutely nothing to be desired and we were even offered tea and coffee plus eats while we were there, my wife was with me all the time. Wonderful especially the outcome!!!

Review titled Waiting game
Rated 1 star out of 5

Told by 111 to head to A&E must be seen within the hour. High blood pressure Stage 2 Hypertension. Got to the hospital they check my blood pressure once on arrival. Was higher than what it was when I tested at home. 2 hours later had a blood and ECG. No further blood pressure test. Sat in the waiting area over 4 hours and still waiting..... there was 2 other people also waiting. Appreciate there may have been other patients but to not even do a further check is in my view not providing the duty of care I would expect from an emergency department. Additionally it appears there was only one doctor on shift Appalling service.

Review titled Amazing nurses
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was seen by a nurse who's first name began with k for my hearing aid fitting appointment and she was so kind, patient and caring. She did an amazing job of treating me with dignity and respect even whilst I was having a panic attack due to my phobia of hospitals. She was prompt, professional and my appointment was on time. The other nurse I had for my hearing test who's name began with b. b was also kind professional prompt and had an amazing bedside manner. Both nurses helped me as I was panicking and aided me in calming down. Definitely an amazing team. I would highly recommend this service.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had to have a procedure today at the Arthur south day procedure unit. Just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone there because I was very nervous going in as it was my first every surgery. Everyone was very supportive and put me at ease very quickly. Want to say another massive thank you to the nurse that looked after me before and after the surgery, she was absolutely fantastic!
