    I went to the Forrest centre as I was referred by my GP due to a small lump in my breast. I was naturally very nervous about this but have always been of the understanding it's better to get it checked than feel like you can't. So I went to the appointment and the consultant was in the room for no longer than 2 minutes, asked why I was there, I told him I had a lump in my breast, he examined me and said 'lump is a stretch of your imagination'. He told me it was just tissue and nothing like a lump. This made me feel so small and like I could no longer go back if I felt I had some concern. He didn't ask any previous history (of which about 80% of my maternal history includes breast cancer so I was understandably nervous.) he didn't reassure me that I did the right thing coming in, he made me feel like I was wasting his time and he then swiftly left the room and I was told I could leave. I didn't get any reassurance and was left feeling like I had made it all up and that he didn't believe my concerns and didn't give me chance to talk and if I had spoken I don't feel like he would have listened to me. I feel in this day and age that women shouldnt be told by doctors or consultants that they're hysterical and imagining things, I never want another young woman to go through an appointment like that and for them to not trust their guts and end up with something that could have been avoided if someone had listened to them.

    After a trip and fall on the market square (07.09.2024) I was reluctantly taken to hospital by ambulance. The paramedics were attentive and understanding. The nurses were on the ball as soon as I arrived. The doctors were friendly and helpful. The X-ray lady was lovely and so was the cat scan gentleman.Despite how hard they work, they still had a sense of humour when I made some sarcastic comments, which I do when suffering with anxiety because of my needle phobia! These guys are simply the best! A big shout out to the porters as well!

    I had a truly remarkable experience at Northampton Hospital. The service was absolutely stunning, and the staff were incredibly helpful and professional throughout. They took excellent care of my mum, ensuring she was comfortable and well-looked after. The team went above and beyond to diagnose the issue, doing everything necessary to find out what was wrong. I’m deeply grateful for their compassion, efficiency, and expertise. Highly recommend this hospital!

    Wow , came in yesterday for day surgery can’t praise the consultant and his team both in surgery and the staff on The Compton ward high enough . They were all pleasant ,helpful , everything detail of my surgery was discussed before and after . I went home feeling happy and confident with the outcome of the day . Well Done All and The NHS ❤️

    My wife and I came for an pre op appointment, we were told that she needed to have her waters broken that night and then they moved her from ward to ward and not actually seeing her or doing as they had said for days, this meant my wife was left in extreme discomfort for an unnecessary length of time (days) before her waters went themselves. During the transitions from ward to ward (which was asked if we would by the staff) the staff said they would help move our stuff over, they had lost a few items and one of them was expensive and of high sentimental value which has devastated my wife. We were left feeling like an inconvenience and never a priority, uncared for and not listened to. It has made what should have been a beautiful experience a terrible one. On top of that on our last day after having paid excessive parking fees we were told there was away to have only paid £10 so paid 6x that amount for no reason. The one saving grace was the fact we had 3 midwives that stoodout above the rest and stopped us leaving and made the experience bearable. To anyone looking to have your baby at Northampton I would expect excessive waiting about and the only thing you will be told is blame the lack of funding and the government.

    Misdiagnosed by gp for hernia they sent refferal to surgeon. pain got worse seen out of hours doctors referred to sdec surgical who said no hernia regardless going to them the referral for general surgery not needed anymore as don’t have hernia still not cancelled even though the surgical team seen me but overall not all bad as they did provide me with a test due to tiny blood found in urine and was very quick with this.

    I was taken ill while visiting my wife in a&e. I suffered a form of Seizure caused by stress and anxiety. The care I received was beyond expectations considering I was there for my wife. The professional and compassionate treatment was more than I could have expected. Fortunately I was able to leave later after several blood tests, x-ray and monitoring until the wonderful doctor in a dark red uniform declared me fit to go home. I had made an awful mess and caused additional pressure on an already busy a&e but that didn’t matter. They reassured me and made me feel safe and comfortable. Thank you to those wonderful people for looking after me. Angels all of you.

    My child attended A & E and a paediatric nurse was so kind and patient with her, making things fun and explaining things to her in a child friendly age appropriate manner. They went above and beyond to help me manage my child’s illness and checked on my well-being as well as my child’s before we went home. Kindness goes such a long way, thank you.

    My experience of the A&E team caring for my dad will stay in my mind for a long time. Everyone was so caring, flexible, informative and helpful. From the moment we arrived in A&E until my dad sadly passed away on a ward the following day the team were compassionate and did all they could to make us all feel at ease in the departments. The care my dad and his family received was excellent.
