Review titled Truly amazing people
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Sorin Scarlat - Posted on 13 April 2025
I recently had umbilical hernia surgery at Northwick Park Hospital, and I want to express my deepest gratitude to the incredible team on Kingsley Ward. After waiting two years for surgery at the Royal Free Hospital—only to be removed from the list without any explanation—Northwick Park stepped in and gave me the care I so desperately needed. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely cared for. The nurses, doctors, anaesthesiologist, cleaning staff, porters, and kitchen team all went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and supported. Every person I met was kind, compassionate, and dedicated. I was honestly overwhelmed by how well I was looked after. It’s hard to put into words how much their care meant to me. These are people who show up every day with heart and humanity, and they made what could have been a frightening experience into something full of reassurance and dignity. I’ll never forget their warmth. Thank you, truly. You are my heroes!!

Review titled Kindness Exists Here, But So Does Dismissiveness
Rated 1 star out of 5
by ZAINAB ABDUL HAMID - Posted on 16 February 2025
I had a very mixed experience at Northwick Park Hospital. Some staff members were incredibly kind and professional, making a real difference in my time there. The catering team, certain healthcare staff, and a few individuals in support roles stood out for their kindness and dedication, and I truly appreciate their efforts. However, my experience with camshaft’s was disappointing. When seeking support, I was met with dismissiveness and unhelpful advice that felt impersonal and disconnected from reality. Being told to “use Shout” as a solution to serious concerns felt reductive and unempathetic. Interactions like these can make vulnerable patients feel unheard and unsupported, which is the last thing anyone needs in a crisis. On a lighter note, I appreciated the hospital telecom announcer, who added some warmth to the environment. Small things like that make a difference. I hope that moving forward, all staff in mental health services can work on being more understanding and supportive of patients’ actual needs.

Review titled Have to chase for medication and Appointments
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Varsha - Posted on 25 February 2025
I need medication every 3 month but never get appointment and I have keep ringing to ask for prescription. Last time no one picked the phone and had to ring pharmy and they arranged the prescription for me. Never even get appointment by itself. According to my condition I have to see Dermatologist every 3 month but again no appointment. Now i will ahve to chase it up as I will need mediction as well. Totally unorganised. And when we ring to dermatology there is a someone who even says that it is fine if you don't take medication for 2 to 3 weeks as Methoroxate stays in system. It is totally ridiculous. If I don't take medication even for a week my Psorisis flares up. Please I request Dermatology department to take some action And get the appointments sorted.

The doctor treated my so kindly, he made me feel that I am a human being. The nurse was so busy but kept looking after everyone. They fixed up my problem and last night I could finally sleep well.

Review titled Poor caring
Rated 1 star out of 5

I was a little late for my appointment, bear in mind I have been waiting a long time for this appointment. plus paid a lot of money for train to get down, as a uni student and was told to leave and it would be rescheduled. I spent 10 minutes walking around the whole hospital but As much as need this done I will not be coming back nor do I have the funding to be coming back. Plus doesn’t seem to mind the nurses. That why too many people die before they have the time to get seen

Review titled Amazing Staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Rachel Clarke - Posted on 10 December 2024
I did have to wait 7 hours to be discharged but during that time everyone I saw was kind, genuinely caring and happy. I broke my wrist in 2 places and was in quite a lot of pain. I was given paracetamol and morphine to help. I can not fault the staff at all. The A&E department was totally rammed the whole time I was there but the doctors, nurses and security staff were always polite and helpful. Thank you for treating me so well.

Review titled Poor conditions

Called 111 at 1am due to unbearable pain and dizziness, gave my details and told to wait for a call back from the doctor. I received the call the next day at 10am, when my symptoms had already become milder and manageable. On the phone I am being strongly reccomended to make my way to the hospital anyway and got a referral. Once got there, my partner who was there to accompany and assist me was told to wait outside the of the building. All sits were full so with my feelings of dizziness I waited 45 minutes before finding a free sit. Within an hour I manage to get seen by somebody who confirms I have low blood pressure, and tells me that I need to take a sample of my urine and go back waiting for somebody else to call me to do the other checks. I clearly said to the doctor that staying in the queue was only making my dizziness more acute and that I would have rather gone home at that point unless necessary and urgent. She said that she did not have time to check me further and that I needed to wait in the queue as my blood pressure was low and somebody else needed to see me. My partner waited outside the whole time while there were other people that were clearly not patients hanging around with their loved ones ( and rightfully so). The waiting just made me want to go home and hope for the best without being seen. I am just wondering where are the money I am being deducted every month going, and how much more money do hospital's like this one need. In my opinion some places just need to be shut down, because certain things are common sense and there is no money that can fix that.

Review titled The worst experience in my entire life
Rated 1 star out of 5

My mum was taken by the ambulance for a brain issue on the 26 November. She was not looked after by any of the staff when coming in. Also, there was no-consideration from the person in charge in the CT scan room whilst she was taking her scan. We were taken in at 11PM and only discharged at 6AM where we experience a terrible time with the staff there. You should take a note and lessons from Barnet hospital as their service was much better. Please train your staff to be responsible and understand a patient needs to look after them. Just because you have a lot of out patients is not a reason to have bad quality or service at a hospital. It is something you should reconsider as hospital from the management. Thank You
