by Connie Marcantonio - Posted on 18 February 2024

Had an ENT procedure and from start to finish the care and kindness I received were exemplary. From the amazing surgeon and lovely patient theatre staff and nurses, they were super kind and professional. I felt very safe in their care. Thanks so much for your excellent care.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Laura - Posted on 20 February 2024

I’m so grateful for the care and compassion I was shown by every member of staff who helped me today. From my doctor to the anethatists, the nurses who took my bloods and those who took care of me when I woke up including a student nurse- I really appreciated it. You are all wonderful people! Thank you

  3. Review titled Excellent Radiology Team

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by RUTH S - Posted on 28 February 2024

I was taken to Northwick Park Radiology Department for a CT Guided Aspiration procedure. The nursing staff were caring and compassionate and made sure I was comfortable. The Senior Consultant Radiologist was kind, patient and professional, with good humour as he explained everything throughout the procedure which alleviated my fears. He worked tirelessly to resolve the extreme pain I had been experiencing while an inpatient at St Marks and was taken to Northwick Park at the earliest possible time. Thank you for resolving my pain and the care taken in ensuring the excellent outcome to help in my recovery.

I had an appointment booked for an issue with one of my aids. I was seen on time by a kind member of staff who was attentive and very helpful. I would recommend the department as i have always had great service.

  5. Review titled Good treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was here last night for an mri scan as i have problems with my head. I was seen very quickly and felt that i was in a safe environment and treated with expertism from staff. The hospital makes me feel that this could be a real hospital with provision and support for the future.

  6. Review titled Awful Hospital

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Bena - Posted on 29 January 2024

Wrong medication was given. Wrong medication prescribed. Patient was not given enough care. Wanted patient out of the hospital as they had written him off. When I went to see my brother I could see he was not comfortable at all, when I mentioned this fact I was told that is how he has to be. Another nurse comes along and she said to me he does not look comfortable at all. When asked the ward receptionist if I can speak to someone about my brother wanted to know why so told her does not look well. I was told you he is not well. I told her he would not be in this dump if he was not ill. When you wanted him out of this hospital we were told as a family we did not want to take him home. He was on a drip twice weekly for 18hrs a day. When this was mentioned they did not know he was on a drip. On the day off the discharge it took them three and half hours to get his medication ready. They all knew he was being discharged for 4 days. Thank goodness he is out of this hospital.

  7. Review titled Where is the registrar?

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Berg - Posted on 05 January 2024

I spoke with a doctor the previous day who explained I must speak with the registrar regarding my father's case. That I should come early. So today I made arrangements with my client, left early to arrive at the ward early. More than two hours and two calls from the nurses station and still no registrar. I am still waiting as I write. Poor service

Dear Service User, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. I'm sorry to read that you have been unable to speak to a registrar. As you can imagine our hospitals are under large amounts of pressure this time of year along with industrial action strikes. Although there may be a delay in the registrar speaking with you regarding your Fathers case I do hope he is still receiving the best of care and you have now been spoken to. If this is not the case as I can see no other information please can I ask you contact our PALS team? They will be able to assist you with the correct people to talk with and how to move forward. Their contact details are - Ealing 020 8967 5653 If you’d like to speak to someone, our PALS office is on the ground level, near the lifts. Northwick Park and St Marks 020 8869 5118 If you’d like to speak to someone, our PALS office is close to the main entrance of Northwick Park Hospital. A big thank to NHS services, staff & Doctors at A&E, high dependency ward, Darwin and Guskull wards staff at Northwick Park hospital for their hard work. Simply they saved my life. Well done

  9. Review titled Florence

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 29 October 2024

Have absolutely no bad words to say about the midwife who delivered my baby in the birthing suite. She was absolutely amazing. However Florence ward?? Made me randomly move rooms at 4am. Every single staff member was rude and useless. There was an incident where my partner was helping me feed the baby and was sitting on the bed as I couldn’t function anymore (baring in mind we had no idea that he couldn’t sit on the bed). The head nurse/midwife on shift bolted in from behind the curtains and shouted that he was not allowed to do this, it was humiliating. Every single person in that room heard how she spoke to me. After that incident, I could hear her tell her colleagues about it and laughing. Everyone then became against us. I had a problem with my baby’s eye and I asked for someone to come have a look, hours and hours went by and no one came. They then started giving policy’s to my partner, to make us feel uncomfortable. They give us a policy after 5 days of us being there?? Should it not be from day one? After the incident happened I was uncomfortable to even go ask for a bottle for my baby’s milk. It took them 5 hours to discharge me. If you are thinking of giving birth here, don’t! The couple infront of me was rushed out of there, as the nurse said ‘could you hurry up we have someone else coming’ baring in mind the woman had just had a C section and is trying to get her stuff together. I understand you are understaffed but being rude and patronising part of the job role??

  10. Review titled The team provided intelligent, insightful care

by RealOne - Posted on 22 December 2023

I want to give my thanks for the outstanding care and support I was given by the team in Sainsbury Ward of Northwick Park Hospital recently. I was admitted through A&E with fever and Urosepsis, following a TURP the previous week. A few organisations are excellent on every level. The team on Sainsbury ward fit that description - everyone from the lovely friendly cleaners, to the brilliant HCAs, staff nurses, team leaders and the wonderful ward manager. The team provided intelligent, insightful care. It was clear they cared about each other as well the patients - they created a lovely atmosphere. I’m going to mention a few names. They were the ones who were present on the discharge day - there are many others whose names I didn’t get who were also fantastic. I’d like to thank Leah, Jasmin, Ann, Arrif, Vipal and Prasana. My apopogies to everyone else whose name I didn’t get. The HCAs were truly outstanding - they should be consultant HCAs! They were exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable - they took their work to an incredibly high level. But everyone was brilliant. Many thanks for your kindness and support - have a happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
