  1. Review titled Excellent Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Had to visit A&E for a leg issue. You are triaged at the entrance by a nurse who sends you to the right team. Within minutes I was taken to ambulatory care for tests. There it was a pleasant waiting room with a tv. Staff friendly. There was a good flow of people being seen. Had my blood tests and within 90 mins all the results were available, saw a nurse and was discharged. Whole process took 2.75 hours. You have to expect to wait if your going to AE. NWP has a bad reputation generally but the care received by A&E and AC was very good. I would use it again. It has changed so much from when I was there a few years ago with elderly parents. Great progress and keep up the good work!

  2. Review titled Worst experience ever.

Rated 1 star out of 5

The worst experience ever in London hospital. This hospital is a nightmare for people who came on emergency . The staff from reception is very rude, unhelpful and impolite. I bring my wife here with very severe leg pain, possibly leg fracture, and in 3 hours was only a nurse in waiting room to ask her two questions in 10 seconds and just leave her there. When i asked on reception how much time will take only to be seen by a doctor to point her at lest to other waiting room for x-ray they told me disrespectful that we need to wait another 1.5 hours to be seen by a doctor. It is a shame that this hospital staff are treating people like this. They deserve 0 star. Not even 1 star.

  4. Review titled Kind attention

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I was taken by ambulance to Northwick Park Hospital at 8.30 a.m. Although it was very busy in the A&E department, I was seen fairly quickly and then transferred onto a trolley in the corridor, which was not great. However, after some time, a lovely, young physiotherapist came to assess me. She was so kind and kept me smiling. Eventually, I was moved into a cubicle and Jenny and a lovely woman doctor examined me and the doctor dressed my wounds. After more checks, I was discharged. Everyone I met in A&E was most kind and pleasant. I was even taken down in a wheelchair by a porter so that I could be collected in a car. A surprisingly good experience.

  6. Review titled Fantastic Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

my wife tripped and threw a casserole full of boiling hot curry up and into her eyes and face. In extreme agony she checked in at the A & E entrance where the triage nurse arranged for her to be seen immediately ahead of all the others waiting; and the waiting area was packed. Doctors and nurses came to her aid with so much speed, care and efficiency. We were in their care for several hours and she was given continuous treatment throughout, one doctor irrigating the eyes with a saline drip by hand for a long time, and everyone involved working with a smile and friendliness. We realise that the injuries needed urgent treatment and that is what we received, exceptionally provided by NHS staff under so much pressure We have nothing but Praise for the treatment we receive from the staff at Northwick Park Hospital, not only on this occasion but whenever we attend for other medical needs in other departments throughout the hospital.

  9. Review titled Belittled, gaslit and dismissed

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 April 2024

I came into A&E via an ambulance with excruciating, debilitating pain. I suffer from Adenomyosis which Northwick Park constantly dismiss. They are not an accredited hospital to treat patients who present endo/adeno symptoms. The gynae nurse who gave me the ultrasound had the nerve to give false information regarding my condition saying it is the same as endometriosis. It is not. She then said it’s like “Covid and the flu.. both are the same”. They proceeded to tell me everything was normal when I was feeling pain at 8 on a scale of 10 being the highest. They gaslit me and told me everything was fine when I did not feel fine. Prior to my diagnosis, I was admitted to this hospital and kept in for 4 days where the Adenomyosis was not detected by their Gynae team. I was discharged and then returned to a&e at Royal Free where they diagnosed me. Completely incompetent when it comes to endometriosis and adenomyosis. Stay away unless you want your time wasted and your soul shattered by not being heard and listened to. The staff here clearly hate their job and do not have a duty of care. Completely and utterly disappointed and hope no other young woman walks in and has to be made to feel as small as I did. This is the third time I have been dismissed by this hospital, including when I was sent home with bleeding in my first trimester and told it was normal only to miscarry a few weeks later. Overall, a horrible, traumatising experience that I will never forget. To be gaslit by medical professionals who have a duty of care, I have lost faith in the NHS. Particularly at Northwick Park Hospital. Avoid at all costs.
