  1. Review titled qmc Nottingham a&e - Check on your wait time.

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Andy - Posted on 17 June 2024

I had a fall and hurt my chest and hand as breathing was very painful and difficult, I came to a&e. They took my details and asked me to sit and wait to be called. The screen in front of me wasn't working, so I didn't spot wait time ... but for an injury, it said 2 hours (which I spotted 3 hours in). I gave it another hour, then as my breathing had improved and swelling on hand not too bad, I asked reception to take me off the list as I was going home. Only to be told that I wasn't on the list!... With me registering I was worried about my breathing, this could have been worse. It was fairly busy, so I didn't want to hassle about my wait time ... turns out I should! I was very disappointed and I could have been waiting for hours.

  2. Review titled Great care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by william gordon - Posted on 20 June 2024

Once again I had to attend ward C25 for nasal surgery. The care from everyone from the porters, ward staff, anaesthetists, surgeons, theatre staff and recovery room staff was superb. The sister in the recovery room deserves an extra mention as the care, empathy and efficiency given was exemplary. Thank you very much to everyone.

  3. Review titled Incredibly patient staff

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I want to thank the team in Ward b3, Bay 3 for their care I experienced in June. There was a particularly unwell lady who they were so patient and kind with, and showed what absolute dedicated professionals they are. Everyone I met there from Nurses, doctors, Healthcare Support Workers, and so on were so helpful and kind in such a challenging environment.

  4. Review titled A positive experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Chloe Crump - Posted on 24 July 2024

I gave birth to my first child at QMC and spent 2 nights in their maternity unit post birth. All staff from beginning to end of my experience were wonderful. I was offered so much support and kindness throughout the birth and after. During the birth I felt I was in good hands. The midwives were knowledgable, fast acting and made me feel so empowered. They encouraged me to listen to my body whilst ensuring myself and baby were safe. Post birth I was given so much personal support for myself and my baby. The staff were sensitive and encouraging with supporting me in my recovery and with establishing breastfeeding. I was given lots of information from the nurses and midwives giving me a good foundation with feeding and caring for my baby. Overall my birth experience was very positive and I’m happy it was at QMC.

  6. Review titled Amazing staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I visited on the 23/05. I was quickly seen by a nurse with the initials of pm, unfortunately can’t share the name although she deserves recognition. She was absolutely fantastic. I can’t thank her enough for putting my mind at ease. She gave me detailed information about the condition I had and about the previous appointment I had on that day. Anyone would be lucky to be seen by her. Thankyou!!!

  7. Review titled Excellent Care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Hugh Hards - Posted on 28 May 2024

I was in E Block C25 for a few days last week all the ward members treated me well. I would give them all10 out 10 for treatment and care. One young man a porter on the ward who really stood out, was a wonderful cheerful young man who was always very alert to help where needed. He spotted I was drinking hot coffee which I shouldn't, but I had not been told before. Shame I am not allowed to name him but I hope he gets to read my review because this old man will never forget the young porter Regards

  8. Review titled Children’s A and E

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jodie - Posted on 27 May 2024

Excellent experience for my teen daughter who was having worrying symptoms after a major surgery 13 weeks ago, staff were amazing and the bedside manner of everyone was perfect for a child. This was a bank holiday and we were seen xrayed, bloods tested and an on call spinal doctor consulted in under four hours. Brilliant.

  10. Review titled Excellent Staff

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 April 2024

After being sent to A and E by Community Matron via ambulance I was kept on a trolley in corridors and eventually had bloods taken and a brain scan All hospital staff were caring and thoughtful despite the conditions they were working. The hospital is not suitable for the number of patients requiring support resulting in long waits This meant ambulance staff could not return to their jobs. All nursing and medical staff tried their best but there were too few of them.
