The surgeon spent an entire 8 minutes explaining what I already new; with what I can only describe as a 'perfunctory' attitude, before making it clear the consult was over. I can only conclude that as I was a NHS referral, the consult would have been different if I had been a private paying patient. Not a good experience.

If you are referred to this hospital I would strongly advise you to request somewhere else! I was originally referred November 2021, I was sent for an ultrasound which they appear to have lost the results for, I was then sent for another for which I was told I would have to wait 5 months for a follow up appointment with the consultant to get the results! As I was already booked in for an operation with the consultant, I decided to just ask him the results in my consultation on the day. That appointment was cancelled twice, when I finally had it he hadn't even looked at the scan results! Nobody came to see me after the operation I was just discharged by a nurse. When I read the paperwork on leaving the hospital I discovered they had found polyps but I hadn't been made aware there was simply a comment in the procedures section with advised they'd carried out biopsy of polyp(s) no idea if they found one or twenty. My three month follow up appointment has been cancelled and when my gp has chased the biopsy results she has been told they don't have them. This is extremely concerning! It is now November 2022 and I still have no answers a year on. Best avoid if you can!!
