  1. Review titled Poor after care

Rated 2 stars out of 5

After having cataract removed it was fine for 2 weeks. Then I started to have blurred vision, discomfort, headaches and more. I need to have it lasered but no appointment for 7 weeks?? What I have now is far worse than the original cataract. Feel no understanding for NHS patients.

  2. Review titled My experience having my left eye done

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I had a replacement lens in November it went well the doctor was fabulous I was asked to follow light which I did and had no trouble. My next appointment for my left eye was on the 1st of February 2024 what a shame I was rushed in the nurse that was dealing with me was very caring and lovely as for the rest of it when entering the room after taking a tablet which I wasn’t allowed enough time for it to work because all I kept hearing is anybody ready to go in the treatment room The treatment was different to the treatment I had on my right eye kept squirting water into it and no point Was I ask to follow the light when coming out I asked the nurse why it was done differently her answer to me was you probably forgot it was the same I can assure you 100% I did not forget and it was not the same . When doing a treatment surely you should tell people it’s going to be different it was one of the worst experiences I had and I found the surgeon who did the treatment to be very rough and ready didn’t talk me through it The first surgeon I had was absolutely lovely very very disappointed with my second treatment .

  3. Review titled The quality of care varied

Rated 2 stars out of 5

After the 1st op, I had to wait for a letter with a no. to ring for my checkup date, (if I'd been private I could have booked at the desk) So my appointment was 7 weeks later. The nurse showed me the test results which were not perfect. Luckily the man whom I saw took the situation seriously and gave me 2 types of eye drops and more checkups. After the second op I rang the checkup line immediately and got a date the next month. At this appointment the nurse told me that she had been told not to let me see the results. The young woman whom I saw said "No questions" and discharged me giving me a free sample of eye drops from a large box these did not suit my eye. I phoned 111 the next week and was given an appointment at QA eye clinic where much time and care was shown and I was given suitable eye drops and a raindrop dispenser which made it easier to put the drops in. I was also told that integra had no right to withhold my notes from me. So some of the people at Whitely were good and the man who dispensed those necessary special drops "excellent", but the last person whom I saw, disgusted me and caused me so much anxiety

  4. Review titled Feeling of confidence

All staff were helpful and clearly explained the procedures involved. If needed, I was encouraged to ask any questions in a non - hurried way.
