I was like to say what a great experience, I would rather not have had the experience in F ward, but I did, I would like to say thankyou for every one that looked after me during the day from beginning to end, to the different nurses, consultants, anaesthetist and caring staff involved. You were all so kind and helpful, thankyou.

I had an appointment for a minor surgery procedure at the clinic and was feeling quite nervous about this but the Dr and staff were all so lovely and communicated very clearly with me throughout the whole procedure. I felt reassured and calm throughout and they made me feel very at ease. Thank you to all the staff at Dermatology I was very grateful.

Review titled Amazing team
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I just want to thank everyone who cared for my daughter yesterday, last night and this morning. She's never had an injury before and was so scared for her first surgery and absolutely everybody from the ward to the theatre kept her calm reassured and made her laugh and from one very overly emotional and scared mum I can't tell you enough how much I appriciate every single one of you! Thank you you're all amazing!

Review titled Excellent decision making
Rated 5 stars out of 5

My daughter had an appointment today the doctor was prepared and already had a care plan. She was an excellent communicator had empathy and compassion and took ownership of the decision to arrange a preop appointment the very next day and my daughter was booked in for her procedure next week. An amazing experience in what has been a difficult health issue. This doctor is an asset to the team at Ormskirk and as a mother of four would advise anyone needing care to be seen by this amazing doctor. Thank you

The ophthalmology department has much improved. Attended the virtual glaucoma clinic where every test was done in an hour. Much, much faster than waiting to see a consultant. Very pleased with the service.

Review titled Dr was born to do her job
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Visited this evening when my little boy had abdo pain, was see very quickly and assessed by a lovely triage nurse. The Consultant who saw my son was born to be a kids Dr, she was absolutely fantastic with him and so caring. My son has nicknamed her Dr tickles, the Nhs is a much better place for Drs like her. I’m so sorry we didn’t get your name, we visited 5/4/23 in the evening. Hope this message gets back to the staff! You are all doing a fantastic job and are a credit to your profession.

Review titled Hysteroscopy at Ormskirk Hospital
by warmfy64 - Posted on 27 February 2023
After hospital stay due to gynae issues, had a biopsy of womb done at bedside, no local anaesthetic, big mistake, it was hell. Terrible contraction like pains for 2 hours after, was very nearly sick from pain so struggled to get meds down after to help - horrendous, worse than child birth & that was traumatic enough after a ventouse delivery, no joke! I do need to say however that the staff were amazing & really looked after me so well during my stay. Fast forward 2 weeks as I needed to have a hysteroscopy to back up the biopsy, suffice to say I was a nervous wreck about getting it done after my previous experience & scaring myself half to death reading the horror stories online! I took paracetamol, ibuprofen & codeine as advised by my GP prior to the procedure and I am so pleased to say that the hysteroscopy went well, I didn't feel a thing, no pain, staff were amazing and said I was in control and they would stop at anytime if it got too much but it didn't. Luckily for me my biopsy results came back clear and the camera also confirmed this. I know it can be a stressful, worrying time but please keep positive and remember it might not be as bad as you expect. The moral of the story is to make sure you're well informed with every bit of pain relief or anaesthesia in place before going ahead with a biopsy as since speaking with the Dr's, in their experience it is the most painful part of the procedure. Good luck.
