I visited Peterborough hospital A&E over the weekend with kidney stones, probably the most pain most people experience, I spent 6and half hours in A&E waiting to go in I asked for pain relief and got one tablet I was sick in a corner of the waiting room in server pain why is it with this sort of pain nobody can give you the drugs you need until you enter the assessment unit, I was happy to sit there and wait my time but to sit for 6 and half hours in pain is not nice, once in they were great, but the experience in the waiting room was horrendous surely something can be done for people in so much pain could get the drugs they need to feel comfortable, what made it worse was I was seen by a paramedic at home earlier in the day and was told it was suspected kidney stones, so had all the paper work when we went in 2 hours later so please could someone look at putting people with so much pain the early chance of getting pain killers to kill the pain even if we have to sit there and wait 6 hours or so

Total lack of communication and care whilst on B5. I was left in the dark regarding if surgery was happening or not all day. Hence hungry. Didn’t happen wasn’t told that would the case. Next day still unsure. Eventually got taken down for operation. I was not checked up on or informed of how my surgery went once back on the ward. Zero after care, no follow up. Meds and obs done other than that the communication. Felt like a nuisance for existing tbh.

Went in with chest infection and pain gave antibiotics and had blood taken sent home symptoms worsened so called 111 ambulance came and took more blood get a call I need to come back right away as blood had problems get there they tell me limit for blood count was 14 mine was 439 so sat in so called fit to sit because no beds my main problem is after asking several times to various doctors and head nurses why have my blood not been checked again as so called chest infection is now full blown pneumonia all I want is to receive the correct treatment I don't care if I have to stand sit anything but to not have no information given and my concerns raised they say "there are no beds" what is that just give me treatment where I'm sat I don't want to wait till it turns sepsis place is full of no job louts and foreign speaking """nationals""" Who whether just by chance they are in need of hospital beds probably just to sleep in I don't know I wish I wish I wish !!!

Thank you to all of the wonderful staff who looked after my granddaughter who had a week's stay on Amazon ward. Everyone we came into contact with were wonderful, the environment is so modern and clean and calm. We are all very grateful.

Spent few days on oncology ward. Staff rude no information. Couldn't even be bothered to put my name on board. To say this is maybe one of most important wards. Very uncaring staff. Night shift couldn't even ve bothered. Awful experience. Need more people skills. Could not wait to leave there. Poss left before I was well enough.

My partner broke his foot so we went to A and E. He was seen within 2 hours so very prompt compared to previous experiences I’ve had in other hospitals. Everything very clean and all staff friendly and polite.

I had an accident yesterday and broke my wrist and the care I received was amazing, especially from 2 emergency nurse practitioners. They were friendly, professional and explained everything when treating my arm . I am very appreciative of their care.

My plastic surgery for skin cancer showed the Daycare Treatment Unit working like a very well oiled machine. From admission through pre op tests to the procedure itself, all was very well managed. So impressed and grateful.

75 year old father told to go to A&E by GP. Diagnosed with prostate cancer 2 months previous. Significant deterioration seen, weight loss, no appetite, pain in back and hips, breathlessness. Placed in a chair in a noisy environment, could not get comfortable, no rest, 4 chairs in a bay being accessed all night. Pain relief given late after it was asked for. No diagnosis as it was the weekend. Spend 2+ days like it. Thought he would die in that chair. He was not alone, corridors full of elderly patients in best (but at least they had a bed). Yet to make it out of this chair. No duty of care provided
