Attended an out of hours appointment in A+E set up by 111 for a scan of my shoulder, which was giving me severe pain and waking me up as many as 20 times each night and prescribed medication from my GP as not touching it, having been ongoing for several days. Doctor seen in A+E confirmed "because your GP is investigating we wont do anything", no medication changes and no scans just sit and wait the pain out until you can go back to the GP. As a measure of appeasement i was eventually sent for an xray, which still hasn't been reported on, and a followup appt came through the next week with Ortho for a couple of weeks later. My shoulder is still causing me issues but have requested to be discharged from this service and asked my GP to refer me to another service for investigations.

  2. Review titled Awful

I went into a&e at 11pm it was very busy as I expected it to be, I was triaged quickly but after that I was basically left until 9am, I was taken into the emergency ward where the staff were horrible, I am a young adult who was alone so all together I was already overwhelmed, the staff weren’t supportive and rolled their eyes at me and laughed when I asked them what was going on, the communication between them and me was appalling, I left at 5 o’clock the next day and felt the staff didn’t care. All together I didn’t have a great experience.

  5. Review titled Wonderful care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had to take my 94-year-old mum to the UTC for a nasty dog bite wound. From start to finish the team at the centre were calm, caring, considerate, and concerned. Their professional but friendly approach was hugely reassuring both to mum, who was badly shaken, and me. Absolutely everyone we dealt with was fantastic - including the woman running the coffee shop. Mum was assessed, her wound treated, x-rayed, bloods taken, medication prescribed, and given so much care and support, it was quite humbling. Please pass on a huge thank you to the whole team from my mum and me. We are truly grateful.

Previously had DVT. Suspected another had formed. Arrived at hospital 7.44am. Assessed, bloods done and results shared. On way home at 10am. And the bloods take an hour to test. Absolutely amazingly marvellous care. Thankyou. And thank you again.

  9. Review titled First class treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Saturday 9/3/24. Called 999 for what I thought was acute appendicitis. The 999 service was excellent and arranged for a taxi to take me to Boston Hospital Lincolnshire UK. On arrival at A&E I was seen by a surgeon within 30 minutes who diagnosed the source of the problem as a inguinal hernia. I was operated on that same day under full anesthetic. Every member of staff I met at the hospital  was wonderful. I was discharged Monday afternoon 11/3/24 with transport arranged to take me home. This really was first class treatment thank you to the NHS and all the staff at Boston hospital.

  10. Review titled Poor communication

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 September 2024

I had an appointment 3rd September, a letter confirming my appointment arrived 5th September, lack of communication is a real problem. I tried to book an appointment for 4 weeks time, only to be told if I hadn't, received a letter within 3 weeks to call. Also patient transport is extremely unrealiable, I,ve missed a lot of appointments because they have,nt turned up or because they can,t get me to the clinic on time
