  1. Review titled Such professional and reassuring, kind staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jean Baillie - Posted on 23 February 2023

As a regular attender of the ophthalmic clinic, I have always found the staff to be extremely helpful and professional. On this occasion, they went above and beyond following an accident outside the pavilion and take such good care of me with such compassion and reassurance. I cannot thank the staff enough.

  2. Review titled Very slow doctor review

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 February 2023

It feels like the hospital is short of doctors in AE children's ward. How can it take over 4 hours to listen to a chest wirh only 3 other kids in the queue who have also not been see to. Feels like kids are left to suffer in silence with tired parents middle of the night and getting worse in process. Doctors should do triage within the hour of patient coming in. Where are they?

  3. Review titled respiratory clinic

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by micky FRENCH - Posted on 02 March 2023

I am trying to chase an appointment for a few months now, today I have decided that I will wait on the phone as long as I have too because I am off work and can wait, after I have waited for 2 hours to speak with someone, the line was cut off, how disgusting is that, I was number 48 in the queue when I have called and when I was number 5 the line cut off, I am absolutely appalled by this services, there is no help and I just don't know what to do... so so frustrating and there is nothing that I can do.

  4. Review titled Maternity triage

    by Vasilecx23 - Posted on 19 May 2023

I've been assisted during the pregnancy of my wife by this hospital and everything it was smoothly, the staf from MDAU and triage so welcoming and they look after my wife big time, any issues we have they was dealing with it straight away. They didn’t let you leave unwell home never, so we glad because we chose this hospital for our baby. Is true that a few midwives I did call (labour nurses), they didn’t know how to change a baby but you can tell them they do something wrong and other ones it will do it right to rectify the issue, apart from that it was great, thanks for everything and thanks for keep looking after us.

  5. Review titled Slightly disappointed

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Saw a lovely GP in the urgent care centre. He said that if I had any questions or problems about a medication he prescribed, I should call back. Have tried twice now, no reply.

  6. Review titled Amazing service!!!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have attended the new location for bloods twice and it was so nice to see a happy, friendly receptionist who went above and beyond for every patient. The phlebotomist was gentle and the blood test was quick and I was in and out within the 20 minutes of free parking :) Definitely deserve more recognition as a whole team.

  7. Review titled Great care in day surgery

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Bev Fennell - Posted on 14 January 2023

I had day surgery in Netteswell, I had great care from all the staff there. The waiting wasn't great but that's to be expected, so I was prepared with a book & my mobile. Staff were very busy but professional and polite, always responding to patient enquiries. It was a very clean & tidy enviromnent. Top marks for all the clinical staff. Thank you.

  8. Review titled Falls over at first hurdle.

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I have been referred to the breast family history unit. The telephone given - 01279 973877 goes unanswered every day, all hours of the day and nobody calls back when leave voice messages. I need to talk to someone but it's impossible and leaves me utterly frustrated that something so simple at the start of my journey falls flat.

  10. Review titled Thank you so much

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mark Cropley - Posted on 06 December 2022

I wanted to say a big thank to the ENT consultant who saw me at Harlow Hospital for recognising the need for immediate action and directing me to Broomfield Hospital as an emergency. Cheshunt MIU walk in centre recognised I needed to go to Harlow Hospital. I had 3 days IV treatment on Billericay Ward for a nasty facial due to a blocked salivary gland. Until hearing consultants’ opinions and starting treatment at Broomfield I did not realise how serious an infection this was or the possible consequences. The quality of medical care and nursing provided on Billericay Ward throughout was exceptional and consistent. The calm, professional way in which staff undertook their duties meant their talents could shine. I’m proceeding with oral medication and after care as instructed for the next week to reduce the residual swelling, which comprises all the following: - • Continue with oral medication; • Apply warm flannel to swelling; • Gently massage swelling; • Drink citrus juice to activate salivary gland; • Drink plenty of water; A telephone follow up call from Billericay Ward is scheduled for 8th Dec. Indicators are returning slowly, such as facial swelling reducing, saliva and mucus production returning, appetite returning, improved activity and general interest, mouth opening and tongue able to move more freely. Everything still tastes a bit metallic or sharp with the consistency of cardboard. End
