  1. Review titled Why so rude?

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 14 October 2024

This was the second time I've had a blood test here. The first time was excellent; minimal wait time and friendly professional service from the nurse/doctor. My second visit today was different. Again, I was seen promptly after the check-in process. However, this time, the nurse just shouted 'next' from the room. I entered and said 'hello'. There was no reply. I was given no instruction so just rolled up my sleeve and the nurse took the blood after saying 'small scratch'. On completion the nurse applied two plasters. The nurse didn't say anything else so after a short pause I asked 'ok?'. The nurse said 'ok' so I left. We all have off-days but I felt this was a rather rude exchange. I'm sure the nursing team are busy but it would be nice to have more of a polite, human element during the visit.

  2. Review titled Rude ableist blood test appointment receptionist

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Aude Christofides - Posted on 23 October 2024

Why is this lady receptionist (for blood appointments) believes she can rudely demand for me to walk all the way round their queuing system when 1) I am on crutches and obviously not well and explained it to her 2) finds it acceptable to raise her voice saying that’s the system 3) there was no one queuing at the time and she thinks I can stand there in pain having to hear her rude and loud complaints as I am standing in pain 4) refuses to give me my blood test form until I hear her insults. That is pure ableism and discrimination. If I would come with my wheelchair, it wouldn’t fit in their queuing system so I can’t have by blood test taken?

  3. Review titled Dismissive

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Elle - Posted on 03 August 2024

The woman who did my x-ray for my toe was very dismissive and basically told me there was no point in me being there because 'they won't do anything about it anyway' but it's not like I asked for an x-ray the doctor told me to get one, I hate hospitals - she was chatting very loudly with another member of staff when i entered the room and I waited a good few awkward minutes to even be acknowledged, the whole experience was really degrading and as someone with severe anxiety has upset me quite a bit. You don't expect medical professionals to act like you should suck it up when you're in pain.

  4. Review titled GP Hub

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Russell Rouse - Posted on 06 August 2024

This morning I attended the GP Hub as I had something in my ear, the receptionist started the good experience by being friendly and to the point. The wait was just a few minutes, I was seen by two lady doctors, who were brilliant and sorted me out within a few minutes. An excellent experience.

  6. Review titled Awful

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Kerry - Posted on 05 July 2024

Had a blood test booked for 4:50pm as I work until 5 so I had to book last appt and finish early. Got to the desk at 4:51pm as the parking machine was awful (£3 for 1 hour parking may I add) and they refused me my appointment. All standing around watching tv had 2 kids with me just awful service and will never book again. No offer to accommodate or rebook - nothing

  8. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Susan - Posted on 09 April 2024

My blood forms hadn’t been added to the system. Blood nurses were very quick to help solve this. I sent an email and within minutes received a call to say they hand been added. Even nurses at rheumatology were quick to get in touch with my consultant to solve this. I was able to have my blood test.

  9. Review titled Parking

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Machine was broken and instructed to pay by parking app. This didn't seem to work properly and my credit card was then abused.

  10. Review titled Appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 February 2024

I received a referral from my family doctor to see a dermatologist for my daughter. First, the receptionist needed help finding an appointment in the system, then she went to the doctor to ask if he would accept my daughter (mentioning that there were no other patients in the waiting room apart from us), this doctor didnt want to see us even though my daughter had an appointment. The receptionist connected me with the manager, who arranged a new appointment for my daughter on Monday, February 19 (I was supposed to receive a text message). This meeting will impact my daughter's attendance and learning. I am disappointed with this situation. I also have great concerns that the new appointment date will be wasted and I hope that we will not be treated as badly as today.
