I was referred to the QA as a possible DVT. The nurse and ultrasound specialist were very pleasent and helpful and the process was handled quickly and efficiently. As my second experience of out-patient treatment at QA I cannot praise it enough

Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Victoria Matthews - Posted on 14 August 2023
The whole team was wonderful today. I was clinical nurse specialist in neurosciences (at qah and suht). I am now a successful painter and textile artist. My eyesight is everything. My husband was a consultant physician at QAH. He would be very satisfied with the expert care I received. Brilliant care from the whole team and I cannot thank you all enough xxxx

Review titled Day ward is staffed by wonderful people
Rated 5 stars out of 5

In for a daycase biopsy today. The staff are so great here, so cheerful, caring and always checking you are ok. Really professional too. The Doctor explained everything carefully, so I am not worried at all. He also explained I may need to stay overnight, allowing me to make arrangements. This is how the NHS should be, thank you.

Review titled Thank you so much
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had to unfortunately attend A&E on Sunday 6th. From walking in I was seen promptly and ECG carried out. Then swiftly brought into the Ambulant Patient diagnosis room. Blood tests taken and eventually a wonderful kind understanding Dr attended to me. As my Tinnitus and hearing ability was worse due to being scared he very kindly took me aside to an available room to explain what was happening. The Dr was so kind and treated me with outmost respect. Thank you so much for your help. I went home reassured that everything was fine Thank you to all the staff at this A&E for your care and dignity shown towards me during my visit.

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I took my wife to A&E as she was spitting a little blood. Although it took an age, the care she got and the support I got as her cater was super. We got free water and twice sandwiches were brought round free. 2 days later, following the A&E doctor’s referral, my wife is back for a scan. Great service.

Review titled Great service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Barrington Excell - Posted on 28 July 2023
I was unfortunate enough to attend the Emergency Department on the night of 27th for a bladder problem. Despite the wait which was inevitable due to the large numbers the service I received from the doctor was wonderful. He made me relaxed and went over and above his duties. Went home feeling a new man

Review titled Hysteroscopy experience
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 21 July 2023
I had a Hysteroscopy 21/7/23 at 3pm due to historic PMBs which is occurring every 2 weeks. I have other concerning symptoms which I provided in writing during my appointment with the Dr who I had met for the first time. Noting, I have been feeling generally unwell and in pain since last year which is progressively getting worse. I am therefore feeling anxious and keen to know the cause. Today 21/07/23, during my consultation with the Dr and before the procedure I explained my debilitating symptoms which seemed to be dismissed and instead she had shown my previous ultrasound scan and said all is fine. I assure you it is not and it cannot be related to HRT (which she concluded) due to symptoms including PMBs, weight loss, difficulty walking, tiredness, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, and multiple UTIs. Nevertheless, due to the general NHS procedure and following repeated PMBs I required the Hysteroscopy for further investigation which was acknowledged. Following the consultation with the Dr and prior to my procedure she asked that before entered the procedure, I fill out a questionnaire on her and my experience of her and she left the room until I completed it. Only speaking for 5 minutes I felt obligated to give a positive review since this was before my procedure. This type of practice should not exist, putting patients under duress in hope their procedure goes well. After 10 minutes the Dr entered the room and checked my response in her review. She then led me to the room for the procedure. The other nurses present were very nice-but I had the impression they may not be that impressed with the Dr. The procedure did not go well and as it was so very painful, it was decided to abandon and I was informed that it will be rescheduled to another day and will be done under general anaesthetic. With my experience today, I do not feel confident in the Dr (due to the questionnaire I had to complete) and will instead be seeking alternatives.
