Review titled Left to go blind
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 27 March 2023
Service from eye department unacceptable. My husband is supposed to get sight saving eye injections every 2 months. Injection is overdue and being told by admin no appointments so can't be done. Admin in this department is appalling. Had to call for appointments for last 2 years and constantly being told "sorry you've been missed" I can't believe you can just leave someone to lose their sight.

I visited the Ambulatory clinic yesterday. I had been forewarned to expect significant delays due to the strikes but was seen promptly and had my procedure carried out within a couple of hours. The staff was so warm and reassuring, delivering an excellent standard of care throughout. I was really impressed!

Review titled Excellent Care

I was admitted to Qa on 26/02/2023 with chest pains and shortness of breath. After dealing with my symptoms I spent 2 weeks on a ward awaiting a bed at the Spire, Southampton. During that period I went through a whole array of tests and procedures all of which were conducted in a very caring and professional way. No one likes to be in hospital but all the staff worked tirelessly to make my stay as comfortable as possible explaining everything in a clear and understandable manner. It was evident from what I saw that each and everyone of the staff was under an enormous amount of pressure but performed to the highest standards despite this. Thanks to everyone who had a part in looking after me. The Nhs staff are brilliant! I won’t hear a word said against you. Steve H

Hi, I need to call maxillofacial but am unable to get through. I rang 30 times today...either engaged, or not answered. Mycson had surgery there but a chain in his mouth is now hanging down and I get hold of them. Please supply an email address for contact!

The Enoscopy department was very busy but they had time to look after me and others. I was quite emotional once I'd had my Colonoscopy and they comforted me and took time to rilke through it!

Review titled Communication...lack of
Rated 3 stars out of 5

While I appreciate the care given to my elderly Dad the Communication throughout the hospital is appalling. When I did manage to track staff down I was given several conflicting bits of information. I felt I was constantly chasing for information on his condition, progress and the chances of discharge. When I spoke to people it came across that I was being an annoyance.

Review titled The dedication and care you get is absolutely marvelous
by Suswk46 - Posted on 31 December 2022
I have had breast surgery and radiotherapy, and I would like to say how marvelous this hospital is. The doctors, staff, and all people who work there, the dedication and care you get is absolutely marvelous. The staff are so friendly and put you at ease, knowing that you are a little nervous. Thank you for everything you have done for me.
