  1. Review titled Ten out of Ten

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Graham Spillman - Posted on 11 July 2024

In the past few months I have had two dermatology incidents, (SCCs) treated at QVH. I have been very satisfied with the service from plastics for surgery on my temple. Nobody notices the graft after only two months. I am now about to have surgery for a further skin condition on a hand. This review is to acknowledge the speed with which my latest case has been dealt with. Excellent.

  2. Review titled Doctor very rushed.

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 09 July 2024

I normally have high regard for the staff at the Victoria hospital but the young doctor saw today was quite rude. He asked me questions his voice was low and looked at his screen making it difficult to understand what he was saying getting annoyed when I asked to repeat what he said. I was there 6 minutes max then another doctor came in spoke to the young doctor who rushed out once again without even looking at me saying they will see me in a few months time. I felt so insignificant as though I was wasting his time. The experience has put me off going back. If I do I will certainly ask for another doctor.

  3. Review titled Outstanding Hand Surgery

Rated 5 stars out of 5

This is an outstanding hospital, from start to finish and every member of staff that I met in-between. I was committed for a severed tendon, assessed and operated on within 3 hours. Random staff woulds stop and ask if I was OK or give me directions. Th staff and NHS should feel proud of what they do here, public service at its best, thank you so much.

  4. Review titled All round fantastic

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Michelle Butler - Posted on 20 April 2024

What started as a 2 night stay turned into 2 weeks. Staff on all levels from hygiene department, ward staff, theatre and specialist departments were all fantastic. I felt fully in control of my care and treatment with great information and the choices on offer. Any concerns were addressed with the named professional rather than just a member of their team. I highly recommend this hospital and the fantastic staff.

  5. Review titled Outstanding care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Attended with husband after he had a fall. Due to him being immunocompromised extra care was taken when waiting and also in XRay too. Nothing was too much trouble, a special thank you to the nurse who looked after him in Minor Injuries for all her care and advice. Everyone was outstanding and the care faultless.

  7. Review titled Amazing service from day of surgery until discharge

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Kirsty Llewelyn - Posted on 11 December 2023

The experience I had from the plastic surgeons carrying out my reconstruction was outstanding. I had 4 doctors seeing me and 2 anaesthetists on the day of surgery, after an 8 hour operation I was transferred to the Margaret Duncombe ward where the care was exceptional. All the staff were so attentive, throughout the night and the following couple of days I saw my doctors regularly and was checked on closely by them and the nurses. The ward was very clean and calm. The skill of the plastic surgeons and what they have done in returning my body to how it used to be before cancer is incredible. I’m forever grateful to everyone at QVH.

  8. Review titled A truly outstanding hospital

    by April78 - Posted on 09 January 2024

Was unfortunate to have a serious Injury at work which resulted in a severed finger and fractures in other fingers. From the moment I was admitted until discharge the care I received at this hospital was outstanding. I stayed 2 nights on the Ross Tilley ward over Christmas and the nursing care was outstanding at all times. I am continuing my treatment with the consultants clinic , the dressing clinic and hand therapy unit and all members of staff both medical and admin have been brilliant. A truly outstanding hospital.

  9. Review titled Completely useless

Rated 1 star out of 5

Went to urgent care with a UTI which is shows they should be able to assist with according to the hospital's own website. When we arrived we were just told to take a seat. Nobody at this point took my our name or why we were there. After half an hr wait we taken to triage and was then asked for our details. We explained the symptoms and was told they couldn't help as they don't do prescriptions. Again, this is contrary to what is shown on the NHS details online for this service. We then were told to go to another emergency centre. It was a complete waste of everyone's time, including the hospital staff. If they do not treat this, then don't show it on the website, and the staff should be asking why we are there when we first arrive rather than making us wait when they are unable to help. Crawley was excellent when we went there, so we will not return to this service again as completely useless.

  10. Review titled Aggressive skin cancer

    by Harry625 - Posted on 05 January 2024

I cannot speak highly enough about the treatment I received from initial referral through 3 operations. From the outset I was treated with warmth by all staff who were very friendly from reception right through to surgery and recovery. Every person introduced themselves by their first name, described their role in simple terms, provided clear and unequivocal information regarding my cancer and the procedures that they would be performing including the associated risks. The time and care provided was exemplary, nothing was rushed or too much trouble. Their world appeared to revolve around me, even adapting dressings appointments to facilitate previous commitments. On my one night stay on Daisy ward I was treated like a VIP with the same warm friendly care and attention.
