  1. Review titled Unsympathetic dismissive doctor

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 June 2024

Was referred here to see a specialist in the Sarcoidosis field. After failing to find the results of several previously run tests and the results ,he expected us to be able to tell him the dates and results off the top of our head. He was dismissive and treated us with disdain and was very unsympathetic. We came away with no clear idea of the treatment going forward would be. Bedside manner and empathy was non existant.

  2. Review titled Fantastic care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have been admitted to the cardiology department on two occasions in the last 6 months. Each time I've been impressed by the friendliness, approachability, attentiveness and professionalism of the staff, the quality of care and the high level of cleanliness on the ward. The stay was definitely enhanced by the exceptional quality of the catering, with meals that were tasty and well presented. Communication with the hospital has been excellent throughout, with timely notification and reminders, and plenty of guidance on what to expect and what the outcomes were.

  4. Review titled Excellent patient care and positive experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Bethany Pattinson - Posted on 10 June 2024

I had lung surgery and stayed on the Alexandra Ward and the entire team were incredible, they made what was a terrifying experience bareable and I felt I was very well looked after, they were professional but incredibly friendly and nothing was too much, they really cared about my recovery. They made sure I understood everything leading up to the surgery, the surgeons came round to visit and answered all questions both before and after, they were funny and made me feel really positive and comfortable about everything. It's a strange thing to say given the circumstances but I enjoyed my stay in the ward considering why I was there although of course, I am glad to be back home.

  5. Review titled Caring Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Susan Lancaster - Posted on 11 March 2024

From arrival at the Squire Centre, followed by my cardiac procedure, though to discharge from the Princess Alexandra Ward, I received patient centric quality care and attention from all the health care and support teams involved. An operation can be very personally challenging but the caring service and support I experienced made it all fully bearable for me and I will not forget this. Thank you Royal Brompton Hospital.

I would like to thank the clinical MRI team. I attended for cardiac MRI on 8 January 2024. The team were very efficient but also patient as I was extremely nervous. The doctor took time to talk to me about the procedure.

I appreciate using names is forbidden however my experience of a consultants secretary at the Trust has been nothing short of exemplary. In the last few years, my father in laws health has been deteriorating - and this individuals approach, and advice has made interacting with the department feel effortless. I would urge the Trust to get in touch with me and recognise this individual as she is absolutely brilliant, and a real testament to quality of care and putting the patient at the forefront of decision making.

  8. Review titled Aortic valve replacement surgery

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Dahlia - Posted on 07 February 2024

I had an aortic valve replacement surgery at Harefield Hospital on 30th November 2023. I had the most wonderful experience from the medical teams and care staff. The surgeon that completed the procedure was a highly skilled cardiothoracic surgeon which is evident in the result of the surgery. It’s well over 8 weeks gone and I don’t even have a scar as a result which is rare from this type of surgery. From the moment I woke up in ITU I felt absolutely amazing aside from normal pain expected from such a procedure. I would highly recommend this hospital for such treatment. In addition, all the other doctors , nurses, other medical staff, admin, kitchen and cleaning staff were very courteous, respectful and expressed empathy. My experience from start to finish was unparalleled within the NHS. I’m very grateful. Thank you
